Advice on space heaters please

Pffffft. No I will not give you a webcam show, pervert.

yea, its all done already. my dad wanted to use some hard foam insulation on the door as well, just incase. this is why im looking for a somewhat small 100 dolalr heater. ive got a big room fan sitting around i can use the move the air around in there. i think itll be enough.

we’ll discuss things like this via PM, how many times do i have to tell you, not to bring THAT up in public, woman!

You’re funny when you try to be authoritative.

:eek3

You know you like it

In that type of a garage a convection heater would use less fuel, be much quieter, cheaper to operate and keep the garage at a constant temp as long as its on where as a salamandor is loud, depending on how high you have it tends to use quite a bit of gas and shuts down when it gets to a certain temp, cools and then starts again.

In a barn good size barn/garage thats poorly insulated a salamandor would be awesome as it gets hot fast, but I love the convection propane heater of the salamandor i used to have.

No doubt, I just read back in the thread closer. Yeah those are nice for sure. I think thoses are like the one my uncle has. He has a smaller garage, it take a while to heat up, but like you said once it gets there it is silent practicly and stays constant. The big ass salamandor like the one we got is a fucking jet. but it has a thermostat on it so it shuts off… but without good insulation it would run on and off every 15 mins or so i bet.

the only thing is the 80K BTU’s… isnt alot. Once it gets up to temp I bet it would maintain it good enough. If you can find a convection one like that with around 120K or more, it would be worth the extra $$$.

If you dont mind the noise, good old kero 200kBTU salamandor will heat it up fast and if it has a thermostat it will kick on and off by it self and maintain it well.

they only stink when they kick on initally… when it fires up it richens the mixture up a bit and a puff of smoke usually comes out, then once the element gets red hot, it chills out and just blows alot of air and a little bit of combustion.

But yeah propane is the way to go if you get a big enough unit. (no homo)

KKK, mines a 40kbtu and mine and vots garages are very similar in size… the 40k convection heater I have keeps my garage really warm on low-med heat depending on how cold it is outside… if i turn it on high and leave it there I sweat my balls off…

the 80k should not have an issue…

Model#MH200CV look that one up! it is MONEY…

200BTU and convection propane! $120 on Amazon.

supports 4500sq’. which is about 600 shy of a 20X25X8 room. so that will do it nicely.

really? thats sounds sweet… I guess it is more efficient than i thought.

VOT rock it out and lets see how it works. I am interested to see it now.
