my friend has recently put on a DC cat back 2.25, and a cold air intake. i was just wondering what else he could do without putting a turbo on it and with out touching the internals? i kno he could get headers. but off the top of my head i really didnt kno what else he could do. so if some1 could give me some advice i would really appreaciate it. Thanks

I guess that would depend on the tune and goal of the owner.

I have a cheapie 4-1 stainless steel, Hy-Tech makes a Titanium 4-1…

Come to think of it…I think there’s a water pump swap to change the speed of that guy too? You can use a GSR 22 tooth pump and change timing belt length?

all the money you spend on bolt-on’s isn’t going to give you nearly the hp gains you can get with putting a simple nitrous kit on it or a diy turbo kit.

And regarding your other questions, b/c of the low rev limit, a 4-2-1 is best. A better throttle body and intake manifold will help as well.

Honestly if you do not turbo a honda or touch the internals for NA its not worth a damn. Nothing like running 16s!

diy turbo kit! keep it around 8psi and you can boost around all day on the ls motor. make sure your oil pump and water pump are sound tho, and do a compression test first as well.
come to think of it… diy turbo kits usually start out something like this…

junkyard t25, junkyard dsm sidemount, some home grown ic piping and a rising rate fmu… then before you ever get it on the car you end up with a disco potato, hondata, external wastgate, big ass fmic, fuel pumps, injectors… the list goes on…

maybe thats just my sick case… really tho, you can build a low boost used parts turbo kit cheep and it will really pep up your ls.

just be ware of the boost monster… it might as well be heroin, im convinced a drug addiction would be cheaper and healthier at this point :kekegay:
