Alright…I just about had it with Time Warner and cable altogether. The rates continue to rise and really the only reason I have it is because of the internet service. What other alternatives are there? What are you guys using? DSL sounds like the next best thing…whos got it and how much is the monthly cost? I am also looking to swith to Dish…recommendations?
Time warner is the only high speed net game here in west seneca, no DSL or FIOS.
So i’m stuck with that.

Verizon DSL is perfectly fine, you just can’t buy the shitty 14.99/month service. Time warner nets you more bandwidth, but is definitely pricier. If you can get DSL, i’d go for it, if not sucks to be you 
3.0meg DSL is nice
DirecTV for Television service. And give DSL a shot as long as you don’t get the 14.99 service you shouldn’t be able tell the difference. I work for DirecTV so if you have any questions about it, Let me know.

FIOS TV keep waiting…DISH Network or DirecTV for TV hands down. All digital > analog mixed with digital.
i’m perfectly happy with timewarner in EA. speeds are great and it never goes down. $29.99 for 6 months, then $45 a month after that … i cant complain
EDIT: i had verizon DSL and it hated it … never again will I go dsl.
DSL can be hit or miss depending on how far from a hub or whatever…
We had it for a while and it wasn’t anything special, maybe got half the speed we are currently getting with TW cable

I just signed up for the 3mbit from Verizon, just killing time until FIOS comes to my area.
