Another I hate Cop thread: Questions inside

You idiot. Why don’t you tell me these things! Get me a photo copy of the tickets. You know I can have this much easier to deal with in a heartbeat.

Im calling your redneck ass right now faggor.

Just goto court and explain what happened. The way you explained it, sounds as though you broke no law what so ever.

It seems like you can afford a minor parking ticket, right or wrong.

I already have 6 points from a 22 over ticket that never got reduced, that was just about 20 months ago.

I am a super jew, I don’t want to spend anymore then I have to on this. Just because you can afford 100 poodles would you buy them? Hell no, just like I don’t want to drop $500 on a stupid U-turn. All these together would add up to 11 points alone, the reckless would have only been 5.

I believe after 18 months your points go back down, but not positive.

This is Amhersts CASH COW. You will get fucked paying regardless. Its just a question of how many points you want.

If you want to waste your time playing with these fools I suggest this:

-go in on the court date and talk to the DA. If he offers you a good deal, take it.

-if the offer sucks, tell him you would like to come back with a lawyer. They reschedule and give you time to grab a attorney.

This way you have a chance at a cheaper way out (if offered)

That seems to be what I’m going to do. I don’t really care about the points, my insurance doesn’t seem to go up or down with them. With the 6 points i think it went up $35 yearly over the last time I payed it.

the points WILL raise your rates. TRUST ME.

amherst sucks. i cant wait to move out of there. if you tell him your story, most chances are they will be reduced to a parking ticket and you will have to pay them. amherst is like that. they just want the money for themselves. if it stays a regular ticket and not reduced the state gets the money, if its reduced then amherst gets the money. why do you think they have so much money. they pull everyone over and give them bullshit tickets.

i have lived in amherst for 3 years and made the same illegal left turn at least once everyday. I roll through stop signs constantly, and probably drive faster than I should. Never been ticketed. You guys MUST be doing something wrong.

You may make a U-turn only from the left portion of the lane closest to the centerline of the roadway, never from the right lane. Unless signs tell you otherwise, you may make a U-turn when you are given the go-ahead by a green arrow left-turn traffic signal, provided it is not prohibited and you yield to other traffic.

Anyone else reading that as its illegal to do a U-turn only a a light with a left turn arrow, not at the breaks in the medians.

Amen. I have live in Amherst at UB and now after graduating and never had a problem.

Where was this U turn? The original description wasn’t very clear.

I was coming up to the red light at N. Forest and Millersport.

No issues with amherst…

I’ve had a shitty time in cheektowaga on the other hand…

So like here?

Right in between those two curves at the end of a divided highway?

FYI, if you get points be prepared to pay the driver responsibility assessment for the next 3 years

I found that one out the hard way :frowning: (pleaded guilty to some tickets I didn’t think gave points). Close to 1000.00 later and 11 points, I’ve been behaving

looks like the tickets are legit to me from the situation…

Tom is a good guy. He also knows the system very well.

what would happen if he wrote you tickets, and then you used him as a lawyer, on his own tickets.? lol
It’s like, dividing by 0

The world as we know it would cease to exist. Up would become down, black would become white, existence would become nothingness.

Isnt that like conflict of interest of some sort? Being part of a department to write tickets then you benefit because you are also a lawyer.
