God I hate cops too…such assholes.
at least you don’t have to deal with them day in, day out.
oh, wait…
heh not right now, though I did…
and for the most part they are good guys, but as always there are exceptions to the rules…
There were a couple of guys I couldn’t stand thats for sure
From what I know of the job, there are always going to be large egos floating around. It’s inevitable. At the same time, every cop I know (and have known) personally have been great guys and good friends.
It’s mostly a thankless job, so a bit of respect goes a long way.
I love the people who are like “I hate cops”
They aren’t all bad. They are there to tell you that YOU fucked up. They don’t give you tickets, you earn them all by yourself. Sure theres exceptions to this but they aren’t all like that. Be respectful and don’t show them that you’re OBVIOUSLY going out of your way to be overly nice, it comes off as sarcasm.
I’ve had 1 shitty cop, and I’ve been pulled over TONS.
I completely understand cops have a job to do, and I actually don’t have a problem with 80% that I come across. I know all the Blasdell cops and used to know some hamburg guys, and they were all really cool. This guy seemed to be overly gay.
How would unsafe start be ligit? Just because my car is loud? Yah cool. Also how isn’t the improper left turn and crossing the double yellow the same ticket? So if you kill someone can you get assault, attempted man slaughter and murder? Oh well…
Lesson learned: Never make U-turns.
Unsafe start is typically given with any type of heavy acceleration that possibly resulted in a “chirp”, “peel out” or just a fast acceleration.
I was in my parents Trail Blazer a few years back and I came to a stop sign (stopped obv.) and turned left. There was an officer behind me and gave me an unsafe start even though there was no heavy accel, or burn out. He claimed the tires chirped and assumed I did a burnout. I was like its a 4000lb automatic AWD V6 SUV it can’t burn out with bald tires in the rain officer…
I lost that battle.
You really SHOULD care about the points. Not only will you have to pay NYS a $300 or $600 Driver Responsibility Fee but you stand to lose your license next time you get a ticket.
If you get a ticket on the Throughway withing Buffalo City borders or in the city then the ticket is NOT reducible. It doesnt matter what kind of lawyer you have. City of Buffalo does not do reductions. The ticket will stick and so will the points.
You go over your points limit in 18 months ( a long fucking time) and they yank your license. You are fucked. The end.
