another tint thread! w00t!

The cop wasting tax money by wasting his time writing fix it tickets at an autocross instead of doing something productive to the county and maybe stopping a real crime.

cutty, since when have I cried about something in this thread? Im stating the facts dickjar

Im not crying about getting a tint ticket

people that get arrested for smoking weed say the same thing… what is the cut off point in SK360’s mind that qualifies as a “REAL” crime… yuo should run for county sherrif so you can clean up this town… we could all say and think what police should do but the way it is now is how its gonna be. do you send in ur kicker to play nose tackle? no… cops on traffic detail do traffic detail, beat cops do the beat…detective work on murders… county cop on park duty isnt gonna go find out who shot kennedy…he’s earning his fuckin pay check. let him do HIS job and worry about urself.

I agree with everything said about the cop end. The thing I disagree with, and the point I’m trying to make is… there is nothing specificaly saying tint, in and of itself, is illegal. Nadda, nowhere. It says not being able to see inside the car is illegal.

That’s why cops are being dicks. They are enforcing something that in a higher court isn’t enforcable. Catch me speeding. Fine. That is written law. They can spend all day pulling people over in the 25mph zones and make a fortune.
Pull me for tint when they can’t even explain the law itself, and it will get overturned based on that fact… that ain’t cool.

And the reason they will not setup DUI checkpoints at every exit from heinz field is a very easy one to see, they start doing that, people stop drinking at the game, people stop drinking at the game, team loses profit, team loses profit they will not be too happy with the City, City stops what it is doing.

It’s never about safety.

From above:

“btw the pa law that’s posted aboveisnt current as far how I read it out of ? officers book, which stated (paraphrasing) regardless of the window, or percentage, IF film is applied to ANY window at ANY Percent it is to be considered a violation of state inspection code.”

Which it is not. Tint passes inspection. There is nothing stating that tint will fail state inspection.

We need an inspection handbook to assist in this debate, window tint fails inspection, its at the discretion of the inspecting station to allow it, the station does not need to enforce it, i think it was 12 years ago when it changed to being allowed to pass BUT still failable (if thats a word).

Heres the thing, I don’t remember what the officer showed me in his book 2 years ago, i just remember what it meant. So i took a ride to the local police station today, I spoke with an officer who explained that side rear windows were okay, then another officer walked in and said NO WINDOWS are Allowed, they began to debate this matter, after a few minute of very entertaining conversation concerning what the law stated (Which was laying on the table in front of the 3 of us) The 1st officer stated “See this is why i would never stop somebody for tint unless its totally blacked out” Then the 2nd Officer stated “Its a matter of officer safety, If its not factory you cannot have it”

By the way i asked if window tint “Sun screening device” was a primary offense or secondary" to which they both agreed Primary, Now I followed that up with “Seat belts, Primary or secondary” to my surprise an officer can not stop you for driving without your seat belt as a primary offense… but he can for driving past with tinted windows, lol

PM sent

because it was 30 degrees out

the way i understand it is that is at an officers disgresion… when it becomes a judgement call that leaves it open. local laws may be different than state also.

 thats good

Cops hate tint because of officer safety at night, Tint on their own PV makes them feel safer from identification -

so the steelers are above drunk driving? WOW… everytime the steelers called the citys bluff saying they were gonna move i would said GO AHEAD and ur no longer allowed to be called the “pittsburgh” steelers. People are beyond trashed before they even get into the stadium anyway.

I bring up Thomas Jefferson’s quote again

“Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry.”

In the eyes of the city? I’m sure, they generate too much cash.

I’ll leave this here

Cop wouldnt get suspicious of a car with tinted rear windows, fronts completely rolled down when it is 30* out, what are you talking about? lol

LOL, ur such a 1 upper!!! dammmmit!

like i said many times before…from a monetary stand point the city needs the pirates more than the steelers. its not like the city makes any money off mechandise… i mean retailers make money but in the big picture 81 home game plus 81 away games brings in more money than 8 home games and 8 away games plus playoffs. Hotels, transportation, bars, resturants, in-game workers, etc etc… 162 vs 16…no comparison. thats another argument for another day.

Yep ^
but 162 games gives people time to procrastinate

pittsburgh fans yes…but the 6 or 9 times we play CIN, STL or CHI in PGH each year, a good bit of those people are from outta town which means they are spending money in our city. Especially chicago…they fill the stadium/spend money in pgh for 3 days at a time.

funny you posted a myspace video. faggot!
