any runners?

Question about increasing workout.

I’ve been running for 40 minutes for a few weeks now, recently I started doing the “interval program” The first time i ran it it kicked the shit out of me, i just got back from doing it now, and i feel like i could go out and run another 4 miles… I can’t really increase my time, because i am already pushing it to run 40 minutes on my lunch break, change and shower.

So would it be advantageous to increase the elevation of the intervals or the speed at which i run them? The elevation seems to have the biggest impact on the “holy god this is tiring” factor… but i am really unsure…
