anyone know where i can go to repair my rocker and rear quarter panels?

If anyone know where i can get them done, it would be great!
cause i need to get my car into a bodyshop before the winter hits… so i can have a nice rust free car next
summeR!

thankssss!!!

why not just get it fixed at the bodyshop??

recommended bodyshop?
like, i don’t want them to do a half ass job, if you know what i mean…

it all depends on what you wanna spend on painting your car, and what your car is worth to you

agreed, Brampton back ally 50 bucks, duct tape and bondo

pro body shop, couple hundred never know it even happened

all good shops are comparable

my car worth lots to me, don’t really want it rust anymore.
took it to 2 bodyshop for estimate, 1 said they won’t touch it. 0-0
and the other one, they will for 3-5Gs.

but is 3-5G average price?

oh shit^ for that price new car

yeah that’s about right for a mid - high end shop to do it

I had a DIY rear quarter repair thread up a while back… i think it went down when the site changed a couple years back…

you can use a donor car for the rockers or bend them up yourself if you have mild metal working skills and the 1/4s you can Frankenstein a front fender and weld it in there

stock mount holes, cheap and easy +1

If its your first car and you want to learn this is a good thing to try to do, read up and find a method your comfortable with. the amount of prep work and patience you put in will determine your final product

thanks for the opinion…
i’ll sit on it and think…

but most likely, i’ll take it to the body shop… don’t really want it to look ugly…

i’m spraying those rust-killeR on my car to slow the rust down atm…

holy shit, i wouldn’t say 3-5 g’s for rockers and quarters is average, that’s expensive as hell. i’m not talking about bondo and duct tape either, few years back i had a (legit) shop quote me ~ $200 for every side. so that x4 = $800. this is without paint but painting a front lip goes for about 200 so double that and you still only get about 1600 for everything. after all is said and done let’s say 2g’s. which still isn’t 3-5. you can’t really paint quarters without doing the whole thing so i think they’re charging you more for a whole paint job. you can get a car done decently for 3g’s, add 2g’s more for the bodywork and i can see how you get your 5.

anyway though, if you have 3-5 to spend on repairing almost every corner of your car, i’d really consider just getting another one cause that just sounds like a waste of money. buy a new one for 5, rust free, part yours and make some money back. you got your rust free car.

Right on

thats why i say try it out yourself

the effort you put in will show in your results…

as long as you read up, plan your job out and work hard at it, it wont look bad ill guarantee it

I got the body shop manager at the stealership i work at to price out new rear quarters on my S14, and replacement patch panels were $900 each. So thats $1800 before even touching the car lol. One of the previous owners paid $1000 to have both sides done, but whoever they had do it did a terrible job. So make sure if you do go with a shop to do lots of research!

today, i’ve got a new quote at York Collison Center:
Labour 850 + parts…
decent you all think?
i have yet go there and check it out, but labor is set. (i’ve been told)

but yeah, when i saw knew the first quote, i was like omfg… 0-0 without my employee discount, but with it, it be like 20% max.
I can fix my car mechanically, but something abt me that i won’t touch my cars body work… =S

but thanks for all the advice. =)
