I was impressed by the Aura.
Fiancee’s family just got one on lease, and the car is very nice. Rides great. It seems to stay flat footed around turns, yet still has a smooth ride. Roomy in the backseat area too with the cutouts on the back of the front seats.

My wife traded in her 2005 Malibu for a 2008 Malibu. We have had it for about 6 months now and 6000 miles. Overall, very impressed. Great ride, comfortable, good on gas, and overall appearance has been improved over the last model.

If by upkeep you mean replacing tail light bulbs weekly and wheel bearings every quarter, you are correct.
