Are you looking for a Corporate Job?

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Sam Russo. I am currently working as a Senior Financial Recruiter for a company called SelectOne Search LLC. Just to provide a little background about myself… I graduated from Canisius College with a degree in Accounting, and worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP for a few years. While I was there, I obtained my CPA and really worked on building out my network. After deciding public accounting wasn’t really the best fit for me, I worked with various recruiting firms to try to find a job in private industry. I was approached by SelectOne Search to join their team as a Senior Financial Recruiter in late 2007, and I have not looked back.

After running this by Howie (Daddie), I decided that it might benefit some members to know what we do. We work with a large variety of clients in the WNY area, including various large publicly traded and privately held companies (including but not limited to M&T Bank, HSBC, Praxair, Columbus McKinnon, Rich Products, Kaleida, Curbell, Meritain, Uni-Select). We have numerous contacts within these companies and established long standing quality professional relationships. Our clients trust us to help them find high quality, impact candidates for their organizations, and we have consistently delivered for them.

I recruit candidates for a variety of positions. While I focus primarily on accounting and finance positions at ALL LEVELS (from A/R clerk all the way up to and including CFO), I am capable of handling any and all positions within a corporate-centric environment. In addition, a colleague of mine recruits engineering and technical positions, and has been very successful in doing so. We have hourly temporary, temporary to permanent conversion, as well as numerous permanent openings right now. The following are just a few of the jobs we are currently working on with our clients:
-Staff/Senior Auditors
-Senior Financial Analysts
-Accounting Managers
-Assistant Controllers
-Controllers
-CFOs
-Quantitative Risk Financial Analysts
-Mechanical Engineers
-Electrical Engineers
-A/R & A/P Clerks
-Cost Accountants
-Payroll Clerks

Again, the above is just an example of what we currently have, we have much more, and all of these positions are within a variety of organizations in WNY.

If you are interested, please shoot me an email with your resume or a phone call. See my contact information below. Should you give me the chance to help you find a new career, I think you will find that our extensive network and our reputation will enable us to find the right fit for you.

Paging frost12580! He is a senior at Canisius and is in the job hunt. I think he is doing some accounting work for Flying Bison Brewery right now.

Is select one a contingency firm?

Thanks nappy! Im gonna send him an email and see what its all about…

sounds like good stuff . I would have contacted you about this, but I just took a job at Cameron International working in their finance department.

in many cases, yes. but not always. for example, it wouldn’t make much sense for a company to pay an up front retainer fee when looking for a senior financial analyst. however, some cfo searches we have performed have been retained searches due to the larger allocation of resources and time.

it simply depends upon the position we are searching for.

PM’d

should you ever have a future need, you know where to find me

email sent

Pm’ed.

Any need for Sales personell? Or Customer/Client Service?

locked/ pay advertiser fees fool

ya. i get about 2 calls from your type a week. good opportunities though.

yep, we do that too.

you are probably getting calls from people who have no clue what the jobs they are recruiting for will actually be doing. i believe that my CPA and experience in public accounting with a variety of companies goes an extremely long way in providing me with an understanding of the positions i recruit for.

there are a lot of blowhards in recruiting. people need some way of differentiating the good from the bad, and i think that my company’s reputation and my credentials will help do that.

Youll have my resume in your email when i get home

Resume sent, when can I start under your desk?

I wonder how many shitty resumes you’re going to get today…

I hear my girlfriend sent you some people…get them jobs.

same story here, I just got hired at NY Life, and I too just graduated from UB with my BS in Finance… poor timing… but  none the less

haha no shit, i had an appointment with you til you had a death in the family and i accepted the HSBC job, never even knew you were on here
