Made a lot of progress over the weekend on my alcohol BBC EFI conversion and I couldn’t resist “sharing” the hottness!

Thats it only 1 pic?

Lookin good but :word: to Spence we need more pics

very cool

:gay:

I need to get an alcohol kit for the EVO.

More pics. More details. Very curious.

:word:

The only other pic I have is this:

But I can shoot a few more if people are interested. Basically, I am converting the BBC in my 27T to EFI. AFAIK there is no one running EFI and alcohol, so it’s somewhat uncharted waters. I’m using a mechanical fuel pump from Hilborn:

With 160lb injectors and a regulator designed for EFI/mechanical pump/alcohol from Aeromotive:

I hope to see more hp due to less inlet restriction (huge 2000CFM TB vs. 950CFM carb), better fuel atomization/distribution, stRonger spark. I am using an Electromotive TEC3r ECU and coil pack system:

I am also hoping to further increase consistency, in spite of running (hopefully) faster.

why?

wow, thats pretty innovative, I am curious to see how this works out

.

pics of the entire car ?

post a pic for the BBC noobs to give them some comparison then they’ll understand

the 27T is more exciting than the BBC.

I saw it at Kennedy’s

yay 1/4 MPG economy!!!

umm… then he only needs 1gal to make it to the end of the track.

krause you fucker … as if i didnt want to build a t-buckt nough as it is …

dad’s got a 73 lincoln (460, c6, 9 inch, all 3 are rebuilt) that would make a GREAT parts car … and ive got 3 sets of T plans plus im making another set … ugh … you bastard

I’ll post some action pics tomorrow. None at this computer. I always have to laugh at some of these “fastest STREET car” threads here, at UBRF, and elsewhere. The 27T COULD be titled and driven on the street. It could be titled as a “homebuilt” or I could just get the title from some old, wrecked POS and use that as a title. If it were a title from the 60’s or earlier, there would be no worry about emissions or such. Car has a functional cooling system and lights and it’d be easy to add mufflers. Voila, instant “fastest street car”.

but its slow.

NYS laws = titled as the year it most closely resembles, has to have full lights, horn, belts, emissions sytems that comply w/ 2006 standards have to be in place for the initial inspection ( but teh sheriff or who ever) but are not required for yearly safety inspection

and you cant use the line “it LOOKS like a 1927 car, and in 27 they only had one tail light and no horn” … doesnt fly …

car receives a nys assigned vin, similar to what recovered stolen vehicals get if they had their vins vandelized
