i just got this great deal on this 240. pics up soon BUT. auto. need manual b4 i start getting ANYthing for my car. i seriously will not mod anything if its not 5spd. i live in winnipeg and my junk yard is not full of s14’s. where can i get all the stuff from other than car-part.com?

of what trashed manual s14s? these arent parts that are readily available like the s13 ones… a lot of the parts from the 13 arent interchangeable with the s14
my only problem is finding all the parts for this swap. and yes i know car-part.com but in my area it sucks ass for having 240’s. shipping would runnn me up. only if i could fly one of the people who done it here :lol:

Ya I was about to say you dont need to get a 95+ tranny and stuff to do the swap, as long as you can find a 91+ model tranny you can do it for less.
no shizzle. swapping the tranny isnt just swapping the “tranny”. you probably know that there are a lot of other parts involved (clutch pedals, clutch lines, drive shaft, etc) and those are the parts which are hard to find aka non-interchangeable. and thats what we’ve (me at least) been referring to through out the entire post.
yup, i wish they made like 5spd kits or something haha. that would be awesome.

OKAY. so i’ve lost all my sites of instructions making my auto to a 5spd. what other manuals are there other than 240sx.org? i had a really good one with wiring but lost the site due to my computer screwing up? some one help! i need a really good site w/ the wiring.
any of you guys know how to do a auto>5spd conversion on a FWD?(obviously, I dont have to point out its not a 240sx). Will provide beer/pizza/and other type of food you want.
Can someone explain why the 5spd driveshaft is diffrent between the S13 and S14? is it just length?

ECU aswell - ($) im guessing 200 somthing. (L) and do i need to swap the ECU from auto ecu to manual ecu or can i just stick with the Auto ECU? if not do i need the 98 or can i still use the 97 or 96 or 95? so many question so little answers. thanks
You mean a Clutch or a flywheel?
Those go aftermarket for like $200-300 (clutch)
And for the flywheels, it’s usually the same price as the clutch, all depends how much power u expect ur engine to produce.
Check out http://heavythrottle.com/ and go in the SR intall FAQ. The SR tranny is pretty much the same as the KA, minus a the fact that it only goes on SR engine, but everything else is that that you need to know for the auto>5spd conversion
found some prices for used parts. you may want to refer to this as a “rough” guideline as to how much you should be looking to pay.

driveshaft - oh this ones a b***h to find. your looking at around 50-400 depending if you can even find one and depending on what car you have (s13 or s14)
so you will spend around 450 - 1000 im told.
Here are my prices that I have paid and I did get some good deals here and some things I got raped lol
Tranny - 350 but I got a engine with about 75-80K on it with it so thats a deal
Driveshaft - 200
Clutch Master - 114 New from Nissan…30 from automotivewarehouse DOH!
Clutch Slave - Free
Shifter Finisher Plate - 60 with boot
Lines - Not much just brake line
Pedals - 20 for both
So the moral here is dont even think about doing the swap unless you have about 1000 dollars free since unexpected costs will come up and its not a cheap as you think.
