Heres the deal, I need to buy a ka (with low Km) and have it installed
I’d like to know the average price on this.

it’s pretty hard to find low km KA’s these days. or at least what i think to be low km (50-80k).
you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a KA between 150 and 200k for $200-400.
then you’ll probably pay at least $300 to have it installed.
Walt, I wouldn’t recommend that you give him any tips as you probably should start looking for a KA soon.
I’d say have about $1000 on hand for engine, install and other small maintenance stuff. You should have money left over… But just to be on the safe side.

to install a ka isnt there someone on here who does it for $400. if i had a hoise id do it for $200 lol! but i dont have a hoist so ur SOL.
But a ka with under 200 000km’s doesnt usually sell for more than $200, $300 with a transmission. So ur looking at around $600. If its a cash job then theres no tax. dont forget to replace that clutch while its out! thats something i learned the hardway. I put in a ka didnt change the clutch ended up paying a shop $400 to change the clutch(cost included the new clutch and flywheel resurfacing)actually i think the total bill was only $403 or something haha. I got a good deal. but some places charge like $600. So just have the extra money incase.
a friend and i will install your ka no prob, if its already a ka in there its about 3 and a half hours. got all the tools and everything. let me know. i have a single cam but its spoken for turbo
^ definitely check these guys out … within 2 days - these guys took out a Sohc and put in another SOHC and BOOSTED IT!!.. chris ur friends one crazy dude 
How much would you charge to turbo a KA?
well parts for a turbo you need to buy. the swap is still the same thing there is no diffrence.
btw is it a sohc to sohc or sohc to dohc cause there is some wireing diffrence’s that i would have to figure out

I’ve got everything, doing a tranny swap in my driveway heh, then doing an engine+tranny swap in the garage later
I did an audi rear wheel bearing+tierod job in the sunshine 3 weeks ago heh
I say get a hoist and do it yourself

Question, does it really only take like 3-4 hours to install a stock ka?
I got a longblock for 250$, looks mint and clean. bolted on all acc from old ka, after all is said and done, replaced all gaskets, all new fluid, im sitting prolly at around 400 and have done it all myself in my driveway.
