Yep, they do, that’s why they have to follow the routes given to them by air traffic control. Since they get passed from one control’s radar range to the next, hopping around the country, that’s why they can’t go in a straight line.
The new system will be all GPS based with real time data allowing the planes to be stacked in virtual lanes with each taking a direct route to it’s destination.

all road trips. I dont like flying. never have never will. my sis has never had problems on Delta or Air Tran has been real good to her and my nephew.
Waiting on my mothers JetBlue flight right now. So far she’s only been delayed by 2 hours.

That’s part of why I love AMTRAK - personal attendant in the sleeper car who brings you coffee, papers, champagne, the works… vs “would you like to buy a bag of trail mix or some Pringles for $2” bullshit
Just booked a couple of flights on Delta. I can’t believe there’s actually a direct flight from Buffalo to somewhere I need to go! :jawdrop:
Dave and I are taking said sleeper car trains to Montana in about two weeks…luxury travel for like 2 days each way. It’s going to be so awesome.
I’ve never traveled by train, but it sounds interesting. Do you have like layovers and switch trains like when you fly? Do you just go to Amtrak.com to book?

meh, we use both. most schools are down with either, but since the SAT is such a household word, it’s more common here.
