Bad area in a town...

How the frig do you figure out if it’s a shitty area?
I know to look for run down shit and what not.

But I don’t want to buy a house in an area and find out it’s full of drug lords and fear walking to my car every morning.

Normally I crossed cheektowaga right off the list, and ignored anything in that town/village.
But, there are pretty cheapish homes there, and I’ve decided to take a look at some homes in there.

The only thing I can really hope for, is if I go to view the homes, there’s a shit load of old people taking walks around the block and sitting out in their rockers drinking their coffee.
that’s like the only way I can feel like I’m buying a home in a safe neighborhood there :ugh:

(I’ve also crossed anything in NF or Lockport off the list as well)

SRSLY?

SRSLY.
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW.

Look for cheap apartment complexes, section 8 housing in particular.

Good luck with your quest I guess. I am amazed at what people think are “BAD AREAS!!!” My parents are old and live in Amherst maybe you should move there.

Amherst’s crime rate is sky rocketing.

Well then the world is doomed.

:word: Nothing fucks up nice neighborhoods faster than section 8. Just ask SE Amherst.

Just move to the middle of nowhere and hope aliens don’t come and probe you.

move to the corner of massachusetts and niagara. you’ll be fine.

this was the plan actually.
although then i would fear the wild animals coming up and ganging up on me.

this is so full of win.

Love the lot.

It’s not like, 80x1400 like some lots.
ugh.

finally, some solid advice.
thanks!

Elma? Rural yet not too far. I wouldn’t mind moving there or East Aurora in the future.

Edit: Actually, I wouldn’t mind moving the hell out of NYS.

Go on zillow and see where property prices are increasing and decreasing. I live in South Buffalo and where I live is still good and will be for a long time. Im surrounded by west Seneca and the park, lots of crazy Irish folk around here that will keep it that way. m thinking about putting a family room addition on the back of my house, I wouldnt do that unless i thought it would stay good for awhile. I also work for the city and have to live here but this is where I would live.

walk outside with a sandwich board that says “WHITE POWER”, and see what happens

thats how i picked my house, my neighbor came out and gave me a beer and said, amen.
