it is pointlesss, but theres more to it than that. for the price to own the iphone, i can keep my ipod and pay 60 a month for my blackberry and be just as happy. i would rather stay with verizon and continue to use my free wifi on my ipod.
an epic nerd battle is about to unfold
That was my big change. I had teh iPod touch, a work cell phone, and my personal phone that I took when I traveled. Now I have the iPhone that I use for everything. The battery life is pretty decent for music and stuff plus you get the cool pandora and online audio ability too when you are on the go. Also have a blacklist app that allows me to allow my personal list 24/7 and work list only when I am at work so I am not bothered 24/7 with work.
Its all about opinion and what you like. People like the BB screen and interface, some people love the iPhone. I personally will never own a Mac but I love the iPhone.
so if its just for talking and texting why get a smart phone?
if i recall correctly, don’t you live out in the middle of nowhere somewhere? you should probably make sure AT&T works out where you live before you pull the trigger on a contract if you do.
also, this site is full of blackberry fan boys. expect a bunch of biased info.
personally, i think the storm is a pile of shit. i haven’t used one for days though. i just can’t see any point in owning it unless you need to connect to a BES or something for work. and if you did have to do that, the storm is awfully complicated to use. that screen clicking thing is obnoxious in my opinion and clumsy to use. i can’t understand for the life of me how anyone can like it. the browser is such a waste of data, i don’t think it’s fair for you guys to have to pay what you pay for data to verizon.
the iPhone is also a piece of shit. it’s over priced. it’s ridiculous that in this day and age a phone has been out this long and still can not copy and paste. it’s also ridiculous that there’s no stereo bluetooth. that’s just marketing in my opinion. steve jobs has a vision of the whole world walking around with their proud white headphone cords hanging down. can’t accomplish that with stereo bluetooth. the fact that you can’t picture message is absurd and the inability to take video native out of the box is slightly off putting.
that being said, i still like it better than any other phone i’ve ever had. it’s way more reliable than any treo, blackberry, or WM phone i’ve owned. the problems i listed are infuriating small annoyances if that makes sense. it pisses me off to no end when i need the features, but it’s not something i’m doing on it every few minutes. the interface is better than any other phone on the market in my opinion. the browser is without a doubt the best thing out there. i’m not really sure how anyone could argue that. the keyboard takes some getting used to, but the same is said about the blackberry, so i don’t see how that’s a positive or negative between the two phones. there’s nothing you could really do to convince me to switch from the iphone to the blackberry personally, but i’m probably a fanboy so take my opinions lightly.
It’s just a personal preference I guess. If I can afford one and I want to treat myself to a smartphone, I’m going to. Plus it doesn’t hurt to have one if I needed to use it for work.
how is the Iphone overpriced at $199 or $299.
pandora.
music. my phone has a 1/16" jack, 1/8" jack adaptors don’t work, and the 1/16 headphones are ghey as fawk.
intrawebs. just like the cell phone camera. before i had it i had no desire. once i get, it will be used.
can u get pandora on the blackberry though?
you can get one of the serveral similiar apps, pandora is in development.
THERES BEEN A CHANGE! Iphone’s out and the Samsung Omnia is in. whos got what and what are your opinions?
ANDROID
/thread
wtf does that have to do with my question?
A. its an OS that comes with neither phone.
B.it has nothing to do with my question…
so explain to me because i dont understand why your all up in my thread with your ANDROID bs.
Because im buzzed and soon android will be on every wireless carrier and will dominate all, so you should wait till its offered or switch to TMO just for the sure AMAZINGNESS!!!
/thread
EDIT: ANDROID IS NOT BS… ITS THE FUTURE!!!
ok no, ill just wait until someone useful chimes in and hopefully by the late a.m. tomorrow, your drunken post is erased from thread. kthxbye.
god shut the fuck up. no one with have a brain is getting that pile of shit service to get that mediocre phone with what may be one day a good operating system, but isn’t right now at all.
I said buzzed ahole… not drunk enough to argue your less superior options to Android, but enough in me to tell you there is no mobile OS that compares to Android… (im gonna get it in the mornin)
With that, I guess go with BB, I have never seen them make a bad phone :eekdance:
I have found this statement out of anyone who has walked up and “tried” the phone out… Use the thing for a week and tell me the same thing.
THE G1 IS A DECENT PHONE… ANDRIOD IS THE REAL MOTHAFUCKIN DEAL.
The scary part is, it is still the first launch of the OS, so its only gonna get better from here, but as of now, I have used the IPhone and storm and Android is CLEARLY better than them both.
As I covered before, obviously TMO sucks, but im just saying Google is about to school the world on one more thing, mark my words
i think im going with the omnia. after comparing the 2 on verizons website im digging the 5.0 megapixel feature of samsungs phone.
OK… Ill quit my intoxicated trolling and go to bed now taataassss
