do they now
i sware i think they do what else would they be for?
Just checking in for the imminent funny. Dont mind me.
Are you sure the apparent water that came out wasn’t actually gasoline? :ssh
well then what are they for i always thought they caught the water from going into your engine through the gas :confused
lol no. They filter out dirt/grime/assumptions in the gas so that it doesn’t get to your fuel injectors. Think of it the same way your air filter works, but for your fuel system. Water will still pass through the fuel filter.
no. maybe dirt and deposits in your tank, i dont know though, im new to cars.
Are you new to chemistry too?
nope. water is significantly heavier so it would sit on the bottom of the tank, still doesnt make the fuel filter act as a water separator.
well sorry guys i thought it caught the water my bad. :headbang
uh wtf…
i just get it at the hell on exit 10 most of the time.
Maybe he has a diesel fuel water filter? =P
…On his gasoline engine car.
F colonizzle come to rotterdam
its WAYYYYY cheaper and theres race gas 1000ft from my house. ;D
Rotterdam is more expensive from what I have found. I go to the Hess by the fire house on Central in Schenectady, right by Langan. It’s always had the lowest prices compared to anyone else (paki mart excluded).
Lowest price i’ve seen is Cumby’s on Route 9 by Guptil’s…I never go there though :lol
heh, i love this conversation, Hess terminal in the port of rensselaer has their own trucks that travel around. Most of the gas/diesel/av gas/jet fuel whatever comes in on barges in the hudson, hence the “ports” most of the petroleum bulk storage tanks are 1million gallon to 8 million gallon working capacity and usually have 2 inchs to a foot of shit that settles out at the bottom. ALL of the gasoline tanks in both of the ports have internal floating roofs, which are there as per federal regulations to keep evaporation to a minimum. Water draw offs are put at the very bottom of the tank and are checked everyday because water tends to corrode the metal floors ( sometimes epoxy coated depending on the terminal and tank) Even though i have heard of some terminals actually ADDING water to their tanks b/c the floors leak and they dont want to lose product.Theres ALOT to it and i have been working around the terminals for about 8 years now and learn new crap everyday. But yes i see alot of the same trucks going to differint terminals and differint gas stations all the time. I know alot of the places have additives added right at the rack as per costumer specs ( special top secret ingredients)
Burnt Hills Citgo usually has the cheapest.
