I know exactly what you mean… I cant tell if its a product of my age, but EVERYONE I know is riding now and frankly, many of them are dumbasses about it.
I want a bike pretty badly right now too, but when you take your life into account, there is NO room to be an idiot…
I feel bad for this kids family but to be honest he is a dumb ass for what he did and he paid the price. He put other peoples lives at risk for running and could have killed the person he crashed into. I used to ride and yeah, I was a dumb ass at times and would get on it, but there are places that are more suited for driving at a high rate of speed.
This is just the start of the season so their will be more stuff like this. What I saw going to Lancaster last night does not surprise me that someone died. 90% of bikes we saw on the way to the strip were driving like assholes.
:picard: I believe that would be called outdriving your headlights, right MSF guys? If you can’t stop within the distance illuminated by your headlights, you’re going too fast.
so heres my question now. If they stopped the two friends of his, they would be required to give the suspects name/the kid who ran, so that they could arrest him if he was to get away. If they did not give them his name, could they charge the 2 kids with aiding in a crime, seeing as they are allowing him to get away with a crime he is convicting? sort of like, the people that allowed bucky to stay at there house while they were there. aiding in a crime, which they were charged for.
RIP, not defending the guy but it’s pretty easy to do 70 on a sportbike and not realize you’re doing something wrong if you aren’t looking at the speedo.
Running = dumb move though, especially on surface streets. I never did it but I’ve had friends that did at times. I would always pull over and the police would either go after the people who didn’t, or let me off with a warning FOR pulling over (after trying to get me to rat out the other riders)…
not me, so does that give me free range to say what I want then? Im not stupid enough to run from the cops, especially if my friends were to pull over. so i believe we are entitled to our opinion. there is no reason to run from the cops, pure stupidity! sorry to say
now I do feel bad for the family and friends he had, but this is not about them, this is about the guy who ran.
