Bill O'Reilly actually made sense today...

You can question things all you want…You’re entitled - But Given the situation like fshowcars said people freaking out about prices drives things up. Oil production will not be back up and running full strength for a long time. Of course on the other hand I’m sure something can be done…But who are we to sit back and judge what the administration is trying to leaf through at this time. No one knows

who are we? we’re citizens, its our position to judge how our appointed leaders are handleing things, I’m sorry, I don’t care what the situation is, I’m going to formulate my own opinion oh how well a leader is handling things, thats my job as a voting citizen.

you didn’t say

“bush is raising the price becuase he’s making money” … like the one dumbass on here… but you mentioned that they make money on higher prices and then eluded to it again here

"

"

so i’m just going to assume that you think bush is raising the prices for personal gain.

i do not think it’s wrong that bush is the president and has a say in oil prices AND that he’s involved with an oil company financially… it’s the free market… how many CEO’s hold over 50% share in their businesses? hell, that’s how some businesses are RUN… the person makign the desicion has a hand in it, so they are going to make the best decisions to make the company profitable.

what are you skeptical of? gas is expensive in the south because thousand of people are fleeing the flood zone and are in need of gas beause of the mass transportation going on… oeple in the north and west are freaking out and buying all the gas and all of a sudden we have a huge demand… then some refineries in the gulf are fucked becuase of the weather, making the product even more precious… so there you go…

how exactly has bush increased these prices? OR how exactly has he done anything to make you skeptical?

Dooly noted - - But just because oil prices aren’t comin down doesn’t mean He isn’t doing his best… Even if his best is shit…Us citizens voted his ass in and have to deal with it

again, i never said nor eluded to bush raising the price of oil, he doesn’t control that all(not including taxes etc), so to say that is just plain stupid. As far as business’s being run certain ways, well, duh, but a government is not a business, and should not be run like one, I think thats a very poor analogy, and one that highlights your true feelings of how you think a government should be. Goverments are for the aid and structuring of its citizens, not to turn a profit.

you stupid mother fuckers

econ 101
supply & demand
refineries produce 17million barrels per day
americans consume 21 million barrels per day
global warming liberal douche fucks like shalerpunk prevent newer more efficient refineries to be built

so have fun and drive a suzuki

He’s actually doing worse then average, he could be helping to promote alternative fuel resources, but he’s doing the very minimum. He also helped to over turn alot of the enviormental reforms that clinton helped to inact. As far as voting him in, i would say america as a whole voted him, he won by the slimest of margins, and the people who did vote for him and regreting it by looking at his approval ratings.

Well if all the tree huggers would actually peel themselves away from the bark, take a deep breath, then maybe the environmental reforms would move foward. You can only please so many people before making an educated decision. Do you know how long it takes to get a car company or other companies to use alternative fuel resourses? First off it takes years for anyone to design, do the prototype, test it ect… THEN It takes another few years after these measures have been voted on to get into gear. Don’t talk out of your ass unless you know for sure. And as far as clinton…Do Not get me started - -

I will fully admit to voting for Bush because why waste my vote on an independant party. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the independant, Liberal, Conservative parties but one would never be elected at least not in our lifetime. And considering my options of the 2 at the last election - - I took the lesser evil in my opinion. I will stand by our President until the next election…

well Bush has fucked up pretty much every important situation in the last 5 years, what to lead me to assume anything will be different this time around?

DarkStar, care to comment? I would, but anything I say right now would come out as completely inflammatory.

thats BS. the demand hasnt changed a bit. Everyone rushed out this one night to get gas before this big increase. but their tanks will go empty and they will have to fill up again. People were responding to a change in the market, not the other way around.

ok, that just does not make any sense to me, so you’re saying if they, the so called tree huggers would stop lobying they’ll get what they want? As far as moving forward, like I said, things were moving forward, bush helped get rid of all that was done.

As far as f-ing up all the major descions in during his term, thats not even half of what bothers me, why are we paying this man to spend most of his term on vacation???

Make your comment! You’re entitled to it aren’t you? I think that if there is a better guy for the job GREAT lets give them a try. Would the rest of the nation see it that way…absolutely not! And unless I was oblivious (which could very well be the case) no one else was steppin up to the plate offering other solutions to america’s problems. Like I said before neither bush nor kerry were good choices for anyone so votes around the country would have to be limited to the lesser of the evils…

certainly. a vote for a 3rd party is 100x more valuable than a vote to one of the big 2. voting for the lesser of two evils will get this country nowhere (which is exactly where it is right now). I know, a 3rd party is not a viable right now, but winning the election isnt the goal. The goal is to get enough votes to obtain federal campaign funds and be included in the debates. Its the lack of exposure that keeps 3rd parties from becoming viable. 99% of americans have never even heard of the Libertarian party, and they are bigger than all other 3rd parties combined. Yet soooo many americans would embrace their views if they actually knew about them.

I didn’t vote for kerry, but he was the better choice over bush, it would have stirred the pot if nothing else.

or you could actually vote your conscience. like myself, who voted for Michael Badnarik.

good job there!
he almost one
and there was alot of people that agreed with you on that decision

 ok so I didn’t make my point clear and got lost in my own head … I apologize LOL (see I admit when I am wrong! )

But anyhu, Regardless of bush overturning environmental aspects to move the country in a cleaner fuel system or what have you - It would take years for environmentally friendly running machines to come out and be excepted by the public and companies to use those products. There would be all sorts of engineering issues to compete with as well.

one? did you find that RMU degree in a crackerjack box?

Ok … And that is why america is stuck. I have never even heard of this guy. People don’t know other options and probably took the same view as me in this last election. I think its part the media and society bias in general. How are they going to vote there conscience if they don’t know something better exists…
