Do you have a huge breaker bar stuffed in there slide something over the end for more leverage. Although you might need a second set of hands im telling ya sometimes they do not like to come off the splines if you are pushing hard on one side it will just bind up.
I bolted it back down on two sides so it was flush the motor, then pulled back while wiggling it. It is binding and I just can’t seem to figure out . I am worried about dropping this shit on my junk when I am pulling on it.
I called everyone I know down here, 99% is out of town, the other 1% are female, and probably useless.
Got the fucking thing, just needed a bigger pry bar and work my way around it slowly, I new something was working when I could spin my trans on the input shaft.
Did you take the starter out??? That helps a ton for taking it out and In the trans binds on the starter
You are now my bitch
Its still good, its still good
Is it bad my pressure plate matches my car?
Not bad, only took 10 hours to good the everything prepped for reassembly. :eyeroll:
10 hours isn’t bad for the first shot, it took me like 14 cuz of the smg quirks
Glad you got it out.
just a little tip. the reason you couldnt get it off was due to the starter dowel being stuck. Next time grab a long bar of some sort and tap the starter with a hammer to knock the starter off the dowel.
also make sure to take your time and jiggle the starter back onto the dowel before running the bolts up tight. use hand tools for the 2 starter bolts. you need to be able to feel if its binding and not going back on straight.
I wish, I had the dowel out already, I was literally stuck on the splines… Apparently 80k miles with out ever having the trans out can cause some problems
80k huh? You’re catching up, I’m at 103… And pulled the trans it’s first time at 101
Ya, I put 30k on in 18 months… I drive about 300 miles a week, not including going out anywhere
