Again the 300zx haters come out in droves. The problem with the Z isn’t making power, it’s keeping it hooked up. It has independent rear suspension, when you really power on it it’ll sink and then wheel hop the first/second gear, look at the 60ft times, and look at the trap times… 118mph trap with mid 12’s I think you know what the problem is, and if you think launching a stock Z with high HP is easy, give it a whirl… Chances are you’ll bog or you’ll wheel hop all over the place.
The Z is a great car, it was never designed to drag and to get it to drag removing a lot of the things in the rear end that make it enjoyable to drive day to day. If you are buying a Z to make it a drag car, get ready to open your pocket book and be ready to not want to drive the car day to day.
so when can i test out your car? i’ll launch it like a domestic along with shifting it like a domestic. if it breaks its inferior if it doesnt then its good.

The tranny on the 300zx is by far more durable than anything Chevy/Ford puts in their car… Can you say 600rwhp with stock tranny? AWD? You are confusing the 300zx with the 3000GT, two totally different cars.
I do believe the 99-2004 Mustang Cobra’s faced the exact same situation, you can fix it obviously by removing the sub frame bushings and putting in solid ones to help of course the ride goes to shit then as well.
Two seats and a weight on the trunk account for 250lbs of that.
600hp but what about lowend torque? terminator spec’d t56 supose to be strong

BTW,
The T56 has tons of shifting problems unless you get into the viper spec, which shifts a lot better due to better tolernances, but doesn’t hold as much power.
sonic03snake has made thousand of passes with his t56 and doesnt seem to have any issues.
