well the car was RWD for about 20 min today coming home from beaver which was rather amusing until it decided to drop all the fluid out on the ground…that’s when i got it home i dont’ know whats wrong with it.
best case scenerio - axle
worst case scenerio - i broke the center diff
for the record it was a stock rebuild but it was shep that rebuilt it with some slightly better than stock parts but it wasn’t a race rebuild from him.

my buddy has a few first gens so if something can match up to a first gen that you need just ask me and ill send him an email to see if he has anything cheap.

yeah if it’s the center diff they’re interchangeable but chad 91gsx has the parts i need, the problem is that i’m not sure i really wanna tear into it myself again…but if it is the center diff i know shep won’t warrenty it. it happened during a sweeping left turn i suddenly noticed that i was rwd.

that really sucks. I had a scare out at beaver recently myself. Luckily I sorted it out.
Luckily I don’t believe i make the power to break any difs and or axles. If you need extra labor in fixing it… i am done with work on wednesday (done meaning done for good at this place) so I will have some time in between with nothing to do.

did you check and see if there is an actual hole in the tranny? I know a friends tranny did that at PRP a few years ago. no reason at all blew a hole in it when he was in the return lanes after his run.
900 bucks for a rebuild that isn’t upgraded is a rip off. and TRE warrenties there shit.
also if it was an axle you would probably hear it moving around in there

i agree, if it was an axle you would most likely know. though its still a possibility. when this happened were any of the tires slipping noticeably?

are you talking about the kid with the red 2G? Mark (or his dad) ended up towing him? I think i was there that night. That was fucked up.

yup that is it…yeah that was messed up…he stoped and got his slip put it in 1st to pull out and he said he just heard a pop. got out looked and a hole was in the tranny that looked like someone shot it with a .22

Yeah, that was like the week after I blew my fisrt tranny at PRP… lol
