We couldn’t get by on one income, we don’t live extravagantly by ANY means and there are no stainless appliances, paved driveways or garages over here.

This is hardly practical for most people in the current economy.
I have friends who do this and everything is constantly a struggle with money…It has a lot more to do with age you have kids and where you are in a career etc.
I’m sure you could make this easier by living in some shitty part of Buffalo then having to deal with sending your kids to public school which will probably negate everything the stay at home mom did.
The other thing is a lot of people live inside this Buffalo bubble but the economy is rather shitty across the country on top of the other things I mentioned.

I think what’s amazing about the donations $465,000+ at this point in time, is that most of them are 15-25 dollar donations. That is a fuck ton of donations being made. I’m sure she’ll be on Ellen soon, in which she’ll give her a vacation and probably a car.
