I’m picking this up tomorrow.

Walmart 60" sold out!
This comment adds tons of value. /sarcasm I looked up reviews and there were no bad things said.
Not in store. I’ll be there at 7:55 tonight to run people over and step on their throats.
When it comes to tech, you’re better off buying a known quality product imo. Panasonic for plasma and Samsung for LED.
I was in target yesterday and saw a 40" lcd for $270 -5% for red card debit. I grabbed one to see how it is and am very impressed. It is very cheap and that is obvious, but I think that it would be really cool for rotating art on my walls and such a low price. I stuck the one I grabbed in my basement and hopefully after I log a few hours of watching it will still have a positive review from me.
sure, but at that price its hard to complain. I use a vizio for my main tv for years and while its nothing special, its fine.
I have the vizio from walmart, came to $750 with taxes, I’ll let it go for $800, NIB, if anyone is interested.
VIZIO 60" Class LED 1080p 120Hz SMART HDTV,( 1.94" ultra-slim) E601i-A3
Not as good as you expected?
I might know someone, do you have the original receipt?
Haven’t found any great deals out there yet. maybe cyber Tuesday? lol
Last year after a lot of research I purchased a Panasonic 55" Viera 55GT50 Plasma for my living room and I’m very happy with it. A little more costly than your bottom budget plasma sets, but there is a noticeable jump in quality. For my family room, I just ordered an LG 47LM7600 LED that i would compare to Samsung’s mid-premium LED models, but at a fraction of the price. It was/is $1099 shipped. Looking forward to hooking it up on Wednesday.
I couldn’t get over the stutter motion of the LED’s, which is why I initially went with the Plasma (the overall picture and clarity is also great). On the flip side, the LED TV’s are quite a bit more vibrant, which is why I wanted to try LED for the other room. I would definitely give a thumbs up to the Panasonic GT-series plasma if you were considering one.
For those looking at a quality LED, go look on the wall at BestBuy in the magnolia section and compare the sets. There is a reason some cost more! The LG 7600 series has a great picture and what I think is a very decent price point in comparison to competing sets.
I usually buy refurbished for 2/3 the price and a 2 year warranty.
I have to laugh at these prices on tv’s only because when I bought my 55" Samsung plasma a few years ago, I bought it for $1000 +/- with a 2 year extended warranty. I buy all my tvs from TV City in Lakeview on RT 5. I worked for him and Josh (Lafengas) and I would rather support his business. I’m not so sure that he gives me stellar deals, but I am always happy walking out of there.
Impulse buy, It was just delivered today, new in sealed box. Original receipt included. I already have a 50" in the BR and a 60" in the LR, hard to find another spot for a 60" lol.
You must have a HUGE BR.
I went into BB on Saturday and was intent on getting a 50’ Panasonic plasma that I called earlier about to make sure they had. When I got there I had a few questions. My living room has a lot of windows so i was concerned about brightness and glare issues. The salesman actually talked the Led 55" Panasonic up so much that I decided paying an extra $100 and getting the 55" Panasonic LED HD instead was a better fit for what I needed and wanted. After talking me into it for 20 minutes, I agree to buy it and the salesman goes to get it and comes back empty handed. “Oh we’re out of that model is his reply, but I can order it.” So he tries and can’t do that either. So he sells me on a TV, but can’t sell it to me and can’t order it either because the warehouse is sold out too. So I’m thinking he’ll surely give me a rain check. Nope. He can’t on a “Black Friday Sales item”. so thanks for wasting my time asshole. I was prepared to buy a TV but not from them anymore. Store manager was about as useful as tits on a bull. I understand they are busy and this guy was probably just trained last week, but seriously you can’t give someone a store credit on something you just talked up and told me was a better fit for my needs but can’t deliver. Fucking ridiculous.
I ordered a mount from Monoprice Saturday morning in anticipation of getting a new TV. So I guess that mount will look pretty good holding nothing in my living room. Fuck Best Buy.
Find the same model tv online… pay less… win?
Try crutchfield. Usually they have the same pricing, and free shipping, no tax. Downside is you don’t support local biz.
I tried. The closest I could find was $150 more than the BB deal for the same setup. It hurts spending that extra $150 when I know what I should of had it for. Fuck it though. My current TV still works fine. No 3D, no LCD or plasma but gets the job done.
best buy isnt exactly what I would call local biz…
