what did you do for your tune ?!
hey guys
awesome input so far
im going for a sleeper
i would crank up boost and for sure new head gasket
from what I have heard, the CA is stronger and can take more abuse
also it is a good engine for the money
does anyone know how much whp can it reasonably push?
The big thing you have to look at is your budget. If you have a decent budget you could go with a CA because parts are alot harder to find than an SR. But SR’s are typically lower mileage being as they are newer engines. SR’s are quite common so there are ton’s of people around that can tune and whatnot for you (if you are unsure how to do it yourself) The good thing about CA’s are they are well built, and also people are swapping alot of CA’s in favor of SR’s so there are a bunch kicking around for sometimes under a grand for an entire swap.
I disagree with CA’s parts are harder to find…
like what part specifically that you’ve been looking for months and you couldnt find ?!
I’m just saying that you can pretty much open any A/M parts catalogue and have a plethora of SR parts to choose from where-as you need to do a little looking for CA parts.

I’ve never really had a hard time finding anything for my ca, and trust me … i’ve replaced EVERYTHING …grrrr… and for tuning im just running a jun ecu with a safc2… does the job for now
thats what I was thinking
I have some friends that own shops and import/tune nissan cars and engine’s
so it would be fairly easy for me to get any part for the CA
I have seen many many parts for the SR unlike the CA
I just want some input what people would put in and why
dont say SR because it looks nicer and parts easier to find
looks dont matter to me, im going for a sleeper, and parts dont bother me
great input so far
I have a very strong CA F/S if your interested. Im driving the car rightnow in Japan. If anyone were to buy it Id just slap in a SR20 or RB25
My opinion SR is better for anywhere for the parts matter and aftermarket support. Down to a point just do it if you want less problems. SR’s are everywhere now and all the arebs are selling them super cheap out east for less money that they buy them for to bring money into there drud selling economy. Just there way to make a so called honest buck Bla bla Im rambling. Dont mind that
