If you do it your setup will be so rare, and everyone will be so jealous, your jdm factor will be off the scale. RBs are played out.
Couldn’t agree with you more man,
Puttin a JDM CA18DET in an S14 would be hotness…
You would be about 15 on the JDM scale from 1 - 10.
i got a ca18det want?
There’s a couple S14s with CA on NICO at least that I know of.
Apparently a girl owns one of them
jdm factor
I suppose I can’t us PUSSAAAYYYY in this case. I will haunt you to the death now.
EDIT
Maybe I should state something within subject. As Axlerod said there are a couple guys on NICO. It would indeed be a cool swap and with a little work provide you with the power you want.
Andrew.
I’d get an FJ20et if I wanted rare, cool JDM shit. The thing is that the s14 came with the SR20det…so it’s not really JDM anymore.
Put a VG30 in it. Get the power and the “tytness” ll in one move.
The CA18DET is a good engine, it can be bought and swapped for cheap, and it’ll make decent power.
But please don’t do it to be unique, there’s nothing I hate more than people that do something JUST to be unique. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you have to fit in, but going out of your way NOT to fit in is pretty much the definition of fitting in nowadays.
Do you KNOW what JDM stands for? Japanese Domestic Market… The fact that the S14 came with the SR20DET makes it fit in pretty much exactly with the definition of the term. And now I know why everyone always makes the jDM tYt3 y0!!! joke here, pretty much everyone throwing the term around is either joking, or a total riceboy.

Solarian, do you know which car FJ20 came from?
Don’t disturb the animals you can’t beat. TekVicious from my understanding lived in Asia and has done an interesting swap or maybe even a few.
imo, an FJ20 swap would be pimp in an s13 or s14.
What does an S14 weigh approx…
everything from the front clip
uncut everything
Search mean anything?
Zenki weight = 2816 lbs (stock)
Not sure if koukis are heavier/lighter.

Pavel, is it an S14 by any chance? No? Well then an FJ in an S14 isn’t JDM. Infact, an SR20 in an S14 isn’t JDM either, it’s swapping a JDM engine in a USDM car. If he wanted JDM, he can sell his S14 and go import a 90 or older Silvia or 180SX.
I understand you think I’m an idiot, and I’m not gonna totally deny that one  HOWEVER, I can’t stand how that acronym gets thrown around for almost everything nowadays. JDM isn’t some magical sticker that makes cars instantly cool and adds 20hp at the wheels. JDM is just different from USDM, it’s better in some cases, worse in others, I can’t see why people make such a big deal out of the term.
FJ20 is just as “JDM tyte” as SR20… look it up, it’s old school JDM.
I know there are some FJ20 forums, or try looking up S12 if you can’t find anything.
