CA18DET

CA is nice and tough but is more or less a boat anchor, and the aftermarket support is decreasing as we speak

SR is light, weaker but has a TON of support!

i am sorry but the SR is weak???

Can you say 560 HP on a stock bottom end. (been running for 3 years)

What has a CA pulled???

SR’s are not weak

u say 3 years butr how many times has the car been drivin in that 3 years! and how many times has that 560HP been used!

SR’s are NOT weak! CA’s are NOT weak either! they are both dynamite engines! i LOVE the ca cuz of how damn easy it is to work on! unlike the SR’s gay ass timing chain! theres lots to name wrong with both motors and lots to say good about! stop with the fucking ca/sr debate! u want ur ca to have 600hp no problem…GOT THE MONEY? u want ur SR to have 600HP…same deal, and to say what a CA has pulled? have u looked on yahoo auction??? 583PS ca18…is that good enough?

SR is good
CA is good

just personal preferance! for me the design of the ca is awsome IMO and thats why i decided to build one!

CA weighs less than a SR so I dont know what you are talking about … it all depends what your plans are and if they are moderate and <350hp you should be good to go with either

583ps on this CA18 w/ pistons and rods

basicly both are great motors,

they both have pro’s and con’s

indeed … but SR valve covers are nicer
