Wow. By far the most worthless arguement to bring up…but I’ll play too. You drive a Cobalt, a car marketed for girls. Big deal if the Taurus is a family sedan, do you say the same thing about the M5? For the time it was released (late 80’s) the SHO was a highly respected perfornace sedan and to this day still can hold its own (given it is up to par with maintenance). You see nothing nice about these cars the same way I see your Cobalt. I’d gladly put my '93 SHO up for a “whos looks better” fight with your Cobalt…I have yet to meet one person that has said I have a bad looking car.

I assume I’m the one you’re talking about with the Mustang (and a SHO for that matter…) My car, or cars combined, aren’t worth $20k…nor do I have that much invested into the total of both of them…yet still grab a ton of looks and perform quite nicely. Also, based on your comment of others “owning”…I assume your car is now paid for???
yea, because there wasnt a 4 door option for the cobalt or anything … and obviously the 4door cobalts are sooooooooooooo different. based on a totaly different platform and running gear im sure … that have nothing in common

Actually there is QUITE this difference. Your right that they are on the same platform, and that’s about where it ends. Different suspension, brakes, ENTIRE drivetrain(saab tranny, forged internal parts). And before you say the SS 4 doors are they same, they are different too…2.4 motor, same block different internals, and they come in automatic smaller wheels that the TOP LINE SS. Just thought you’d like to know. Anything else you’d like to know just ask…sorry I had to add this crap.

and second, looks like i was giving you to much credit, guess your hp/l is lower, the sho is 3.2l, and makes 130hp/l @ 10 psi
Just got done rechecking the thread…still don’t think it’s as arrogant as you want it to be. Like I said, maybe there was something more going on with RJ92 and this Cobalt dude…and apparently there was.
I’ll race anything and give any car props if it performs well. Ron’s SHO surprised the hell out of me when he hung with me…I wanted to see it run, BFD.
And as far as wasting time racing a Taurus, well I guess I’m guilty of that more so in the fact that I own one and have put a considerable amount of time into it by being one of only a known handful in the the US that has successfully converted an automatic SHO to a manual trans. HRK is another ‘pioneer’ in the SHO world as he was hugely responsible in turboing an auto SHO…if you knew anything about these cars you’d know how big of a feat each of these accomplishments were. I have no idea who you are or what you’ve done, but for christs sake this is an automotive forum…everyone has different tastes, so you don’t like the Taurus…I don’t care.

and by the way, that 13.85 was untuned with a rather large ehaust leak … basicly a 1" diameter hole in the rear exhaust pipe … and a car that weighs 3600+ pounds, has a 2.555 60 foot, and no boost till about a 1/3 of the way down the track because of the tune / leak
His 60 foots are disgustingly slow. He needs a good stall on the car, and instead he opted to go cheap after spending a shitload on everything else.
Its a roll racing car, its not meant for the track.
And even if he had 600HP at the wheels, like a few of the SHO’s do, they put down 13’s all day trapping 120-140 (check SHOForum), because they don’t have traction until the eighth. They should get slicks :gotme:
