Test drove an elantra at Fucillo, will probably be getting one within the next week or 2. Personally Id go with the Sonata but my gf will be driving the car for the most part and the Elantra is a better fit for her needs.
Test drove the Cruze and loved it, leasing one for damn near the same price as an elantra despite the fact that the Cruze is almost 2k more. Picking it up Friday.
What actually sway you guys towards the Cruze? Just wondering.
Anyway, Have fun with the new car! :clap
The Elantra while very nice for a Hyundai still feels like a Hyundai. The cruze is extremly smooth and very quiet even at high speeds. And the 1.4T has much more low-mid level torque so the power delivery for driving around town is also much smoother. The interior is also in my opinion leaps and bounds better than the elantras. And I really prefer the bold styling of the cruze to the very futuristic Elantra styling. To sum it up the overall quality of the Cruze was just on a different level from the Elantras. I never once felt like I was driving a compact, this might be pushing it a bit but it drove much more like a European sedan compared to what I think we all expect from Chevrolet.
We ended up going with the dark grey, got the alloy wheels as well so this is exactly what it looks like (wont be RHD though :lol )
Well cancel that. Thanks to the morons that lived way above their means in the past and made everything crash I am not qualified despite having sufficient credit and making more than enough to afford the lease payments. Yet Im approved to purchase the car and have payments well over $400/month. Way to go banks and morons that cant handle their finances making things hell for everyone else.
That sounds more like the dealership pulling some shady shit to me than your credit not qualifying.
I thought the same so I called Joe and he said its pretty common unfortunatly. I just spoke with Garvey and they seemed pretty adament about being able to get me approved for an Elantra but I really prefer the Cruze.
Let me talk to my boss. He is good friends with the owner of Whalen Chevrolet in Greenwhich
Its not the dealership its the lenders
my credit is shit and i got a car from fucillio for like 280 a month. They really go out of their way to find a lender i dealt with Eric at fucillio in schenectady
shoulda found a 5k tdi or something
Should have scooped amint MKIV TDI
Talked to some more dealers today, they all basically echoed the idea that the other dealer was basically trying to pull a bait and switch. At this point Im pretty much done with this, way too much drama trying to get a car through a dealer these days.
Looks nice. Very Ford Fiesta-ish styling.
Yea its not too bad looking. The best part will be the savings at the pump. This should easily double if not triple what the jeep cherokee we have now is getting for fuel economy.
I told you that dealer was just trying to fuck you it basically comes down to lately if they see you have good credit its not all about the deal anymore but about how much they can make off the deal cause most of them are starving
Yea it was bullshit but whatever. I got tier 1 rates through Hyundai but apparently chevy couldnt even get me approved? Fuck them.
