Cant believe Im even considering this

Black is a better color for this car, IMO. Enjoy the mpg! :thumbup

Rule of thumb for black.

Black is the best color when clean.
Black is never clean.

Congrats!

Averaging 36mpg combined right now, have gotten as high as 43mpg on the highway and it only has 600 miles on it. Its actually suprisingly quick too, 6 gears, 150 horsepower, relativly low curb weight, ive had a few B18B integras in the past and Id say this is probably quicker than those are.

43 is impressive.

I just filled up and got 39mpg on a tank on the bike.

Although I was using all 6 gears on it as well :ninja

Glad to hear you like it! Those cars came a long way.

Dread, can you check in your owner’s manual for any info about towing and towing capacity? Thx.

Towing Capacity… N/R :lol

I do think it looks nicer in black.

How you liking it so far?

I like it a lot. Its suprisingly fun to drive, not nearly as numb feeling as the reviews try to make it out to be. Obviously its no performer at all but its fun to toss through some whindy roads for what it is. Interior is comfortable and still feels very spacious despite its compact size even on very long road trips. I really have zero complaints. Other manufacturers need to step their game up in this segment, even though I liked the Cruze more initially Im not so sure I would have in the long run. There was something fishy about the Cruzes transmission. Every single one I drove was very sloppy and clunky when shifting. Everything about the Elantra is suprisingly refined. Again not trying to say its something to write home about but for what this car is meant to do it really brings a lot to the table.

Hyundai hasn’t gotten to be complacent yet, so they have had to work for every sale they get by making better and better products. I’m a Honda fanboy, and even I admit that honda isn’t trying that hard anymore. Nor is Toyota. Why would they have to try if people will just go buy them because “everyone knows hondas and toyotas are solid, reliable and fuel efficient cars” that will sell on brand alone. Why else would people have purchased 7th gen civics that are demonstrably not as good as the ones before them?

Honestly, as far as new cars that are out, the only ones I even like are the sonata turbo (only in a couple colors though), the new Kia Optima (love it, just need a manual trans with the turbo motor), the Forte Koup (its like a civic Si if it was drawn properly), and the Fiat 500. Hyundai today is basically using the playbook honda used in the 90’s and forgot about around 2000.

Well car has been great up to this point but it has developed a pull on the highway to the left. Currently the vehicle has 16000 miles and adjustments are already not covered by the warranty after 12000 miles. Is that standard for most auto makers? Its killing my gas mileage and the car is driving horribly at highway speed. Never thought Id have to pay for an alignment within my first 3-5 years of owning the car let alone the first 8-9 months.

16000 miles in 8-9 month is alot ofr a life sized matchbox car

developed a pull for no reason (ie, didnt smash a curb)? I wouldnt be surprised if its a shifted belt in a shit tire.

my best guess would be that the big white gear shifted to the left so now when you pull it back more power goes to one side

the only thing wrong with hyundais is their price keeps going up

get a lifetime alignment at a place like Firestone and youll never have to pay for another one. I paid $130 and after 2 alignments ($70 each) its free.

id be pissed… pothole?

Are the tires equal pressure ? Brakes feel normal ? A lot of things will cause a pull
