I just rebuilt my engine Dohc and used the sohc pistons to run high compression and this should yeild more power but it seems to have none at all
i step on the gas and it just dosn’t want to go Revs go up very slowly
but when i rev the engine under NO load it revs very freely
i’ve checkd the distributor timing and it seems to be ok
it also seems to loose even more power at high rpms
i’m about to set it on fire…
it MAY ( not sure ) be your motor mounts. . my car kinda does the same soo i bought nismo mounts but havnt replaced them yet

the engine mounts also arent really in bad condition

if my timing was off would the car still idle fine and rev good?

it may be your timing, i’d look into that first.
check your valve timing you might of skipped a tooth on the timing chain, does it make a difference if you fully retard or advance your timing?
it makes a slight difference but still no power

car also dosnt fire up right away
definitely, if it skipped a tooth, or more it would mess up timing for sure.
would it still start and drive though?
