Cars & Coffee @ Eastern Hills Mall (NOT run by Matt)

What about larger lots where “single owners” wouldn’t be involved, and since there’s not a great deal of profit to be made at a morning meet as there would an evening cruise (i.e.: Quaker Steak)? I’m sure the 20 coffees the market sold Sunday weren’t worth the aggravation and I don’t have a problem grabbing a Timmy on the way. I like the Rich (Wilson) Stadium concept and / or maybe something on the waterfront like one of the lots near the small boat harbor? Maybe even Chestnut Ridge Park. If it were more of a public venue, I think the pitch to the powers that be would be less difficult. It just seems like this needs to be away from residential areas where unavoidable tomfoolery is bound to piss off neighbors (and police when they get called). I also don’t think it can be too “remote” or else the crowd you’re looking to show won’t want to make the drive that far.

Liability insurance based on number of mustangs attending

Why’s it always gotta come back to us Mustang guys?

What about the fairgrounds. They do car shows there all the time. Plenty of parking and space for a bunch of cars plus I bet Sunday mornings would be perfect before all the blue hairs start rolling in.

There you go. TH right inside too. (And slots]

If there is a GoFundMe page posted I would like to help donate to the fines and whatnot.

I have been coming since the first event last year with my gf when I can and always have a good time, the coffee is good too. That being said, I usually park off to the side in my evo since its just a modded import and not really exotic or show car worthy at this point. From this past event my gf had a great time taking pictures while I pushed her around in a wheelchair and meeting people. I had no clue stuff was stolen from Rite-Aid, but believe I am aware of who climbed onto the roof.
Hopefully for the new location it does not get out of hand like this past event.

Also, can somebody add me back to the email distribution? I was receiving them last year and it stopped around halfway through the summer. My email is- ericquattrini@gmail.com
Not sure if something happened or if my car was not wanted to come anymore lol.

Finding a nice open lot away from everything is a good idea and then just summon a food truck that specializes in breakfast or coffee to come out.

That’s Texas, this is NYS. I’ve been doing shows and cruises for 20+ years. NYS has more laws and lawyers willing to chase organizers

^^^ Exactly

Yep, we did. I ran that for 4 years. Then they built a Chipotle on the open lot on Sheridan Drive and we lost the space for it. I also ran one at Transit Rd and the manager / landlord was a dbag and ended it

Thus liability landing on the property owner. There are locations that run weekly cruise nights in WNY, Pautlers, Texas Roadhouse, Polish Falcons, ect. All of them have been established cruises and the property owners / managers all approve and work alongside the promoter.

Nope. Hamburg Fairgrounds wants nothing to do with car shows or cruises. The new management there has made that blatantly clear. They are in it for the gaming, not to let people show off their cars.

Charcoal Corral is kind of far but a really neat place. (mini golf, drive-in movies, restaurant, ice cream shop, etc.) They have cruises/shows with several hundred cars.

Every Thursday and one Thursday a month is their “super cruise”.

Definitely a good time.

“Kind of far”.

I don’t think you’re getting the whole liability thing. That “open lot” is still owned by someone that you’d need to get permission from and with that permission comes the liability.

This popped up on my Instagram feed, just can’t remember who it was now. I won’t spectate but, it was for sure one of the cars that didn’t belong.

^Yeah I tried finding that as well. I remember seeing it.

From what I saw was a short video clip being shared around Facebook

I’m really curious why you can’t refuse someone entry? Don’t you have the right to refuse service to anyone at any time? How could you host a “Pre-1960” “Pre-1950” etc show? It doesn’t make sense to me that you couldn’t have guys standing at the entry directing parking. Good cars park in here, shitty cars can park down the street.

I have an aerial pic from the rooftop that my friend sent to me. He said it was posted by one of the 716 racing guys.

Maybe this is just my “I hate cars” side coming through, but, who cares if this gets shut down? Wouldn’t it be more fun to actually drive your cars instead of standing around in a parking lot and talking about/looking at cars? If I was Matt I would say “FUCK IT” and let it die. Do an invite only list via email, meet up, and go for a drive though some nice back roads to Ellicottville/Southern Tier.

all the drive-in movies have unpaved ground which just turn ppl away. should look into bills stadium, i am sure they will host it for a fee since they already hosting something similar like autocross event.

stealing candy or jumping on the roof? what are they? thugs? thats so embarrassing, should post pics or names so we know who those classless douches.

I do enjoy the driving part of the culture. It’s difficult to be able to see some of these cars (and I’m talking about the less common or “exotic” rides) that you can’t really look over while on the road. It’s nice to be able to see the interiors, see the interiors, small details, etc. that you can’t do unless standing still. It’s also nice to be able to talk to their owners, friends, etc. while walking around. I’m on board for the invitation only concept but you know that the undesirables will find out about it somehow and then you have to “manage” the entrances and parking.
