Just for fun, list the cars you’ve driven, and provide a basic description of your experience. I’ll start. You can skim through, since it’s gonna be a long post, but I hope people contribute, this is a great way to share driving experiences and knowledge.
1993 Nissan 240SX Fastback 2.4L I4 155hp
-physics defying “DID I JUST TAKE THAT CORNER GOING 80 km/h??” handling lol
-RWD
-reliable
-great styling (although, not compareable to a 300ZX’s beauty)
-POP UP LIGHTS :D…I’m a sucker for pop-up lights
-Boner worthy driving position lol, esp. the view with the lights up
-great potential
-loud, rough engine…sounds mean however
-rust prone
-room for 2 full size adults plus 2 midgets with no legs lol
-moderate acceleration, but still extremely fun to drive, perfectly stock
-could use more power, but that can be achieved
-decent low end torque for a 4 cyl.
2007 BMW 335i 3.0TT I6 300+hp
-amazing torque curve, reaches max torque at like 2k and keeps it linearly
-feels N/A, turbo’s spool up in no time
-RWD BMW with AMAZING suspension
-helpful stability control for learning the limits of the car
-stall prevention system, uphill braking when stopped (makes manual driving easier)
-amazing seats, they hold you in
-3 spoke wheel, kinda fat for my taste
-room for 4 people, they can ACTUALLY fit in this coupe
-timid styling, not too aggressive, but still beautiful, and slightly boring
-good 6 spd. with strong clutch
-great over bumpy roads, considering handling capabilties
-really, really, really quick
-well balanced, can handle amazing cornering forces
-heavy, but doesn’t feel it
-overfucking priced…there, I said it, sorry dude
1997 Oldsmobile LSS 3.8L V6 Supercharged 240hp
-Great low end torque (280 lbs.ft@2800rpm)
-Excellent acceleration off the line
-Great engine
-Decent fuel mileage for weight and power: 7km/L with mostly city driving
-Quiet ride
-Heavy
-Bad turning radius
-Decent handling for 3700 lbs. American FWD sedan
-Roomy, comfortable, loaded with features
-Cheap as hell to buy
1998 Oldsmobile 88 LS 3.8L V6 205hp
-Same as above, but worse acceleration, and softer suspension
-Smooth luxurious ride
-Great growl from the large V6
2007 Dodge Charger 3.5L V6
-terrible visibility
-mean as hell stance and exterior styling
-shitty interior
-decent handling for its size
-good suspension
-decent low end torque and overall acceleration, but there’s a HEMI V8 version available
-RWD
-numb feel
-pretty fun to drive regardless, it excites you on sight
1996 Toyota Camry 3.0L V6
-quick acceleration
-great engine
-delicious snarl from motor at higher rpm’s
-good suspension for a family sedan, little body roll (relatively)
-slightly rough ride, and a bit of the cheap feel interior wise
-boring styling inside and out
-lightweight
-overall very fun to drive, great car
1991 Honda Accord 2.2L I4
-slow acceleration
-does not have any low end torque (Honda…what can you say…)
-decent handling, but could be made much better with little modifications
-decent exterior styling
-cheap interior feel
-rust prone
-reliable as hell
1988 Volvo 240 DL 2.4L I4
-barely moves
-closest thing to a tank, period
-RWD
-Has body roll like a motherfucker
-Unique styling
-Fun to drive, for some reason
2003 Toyota Corolla 1.8L I4
-slow
-touchy brake pedal
-cheap feel
-reliable
-i just don’t like it at all
1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L V8 (I think…don’t rmr)
2007 Chevy HHR 2.2L I4
1996 Nissan Quest/Mercury Villager
1993 Ford Ranger
1996 Toyota Tercel
I don’t rmr anymore, but the highlights would be my 240 and my buddy’s twin turbo 335i. Also the Olds LSS was a good sleeper, especially for carrying friends with you, and still being able to accelerate quickly.
