changed oil today, found metal in it :/

you should flush the motor out with water to eliminate these shavings.

true story.

Test the oil definitely!

Blackstone Labs, go to there site and request a testing kit, they are free to order and you only pay when you send in the oil for testing. $22.50 for standard tests, its what I do every oil change on my GSX-R.

this is what i was goin for

how old are you? People ask serious questions and there always has to be one person who is a smartass. Grow up and/or keep it in the offbeat section.

Put it for sale

he has ,dont worry the 3.8 is a bulletproof motor .actually now that im thinkin of it does it have a oil cooler on it by chance

Looks like my toilet after eating mexican food

yea right dont listen to this guy look at his car, 3.8s blow up all the time.

Sure, ‘can’t hurt’, but a total waste of time in this situation.

also…shit, my dad is always bitching at me for having oil laying around. so this ONE time right after changing the oil I take it and get rid of it. I kept the metal chunks though. can I still get it tested with the oil that comes out next? I’m assuming whatever is FUBAR is going to keep getting worse, haha. fml

havent cooked a 3.8 faggot ,so what happened to our run ya little bitch i knew ya would not do it faggot

I had 17psi on a Turbonetics BB T72 going through my BONE STOCK 3.8 engine for almost 2 years without a single problem…

so stfu.

change filter, fill with clean, cheap oil.
start it, run it to operating temp, let cool.
drain cheap oil, check it for more shavings
if it’s clean:
change filter, fill with good oil, hope for the best
if it’s dirty:
yeeeaaahhh…

change oil when hot , more contaminates and sludge will come out if ya do

you little shart, go get your car let me know anytime you little pee on

Sorry usmc. I was completely unaware that somebody died and you’ve been crowned king.

Did you recently switch to a high quality syn or something? It looks like carbon to me.

carbon is non-ferrous.

meaning…not magnetic right?

yes
