Changing to Progressive...New inspection?

I decided to get off my parents insurance policy since i found out that progressive is cheaper having both my acura and bike insured than it was on my parents policy. Weird…

Now currently my inspection isn’t up until feb, but because Im carrying collision and comp, they are saying that I need a new inspection within 7 days or the coverage will be dropped. Is there a way out of that since my current nys inspection is not even half up yet?

They mean, an Insurance inspection.

Basically you take it to a dealership and an insurance adjuster comes out and looks over your car to see if there is any modifications or damage, prior to you buying insurance.

It keeps people from smashing up their car on Liability insurance, then buying collision, and claiming you wrecked your car after the collision insurance is effective

Prob not if they’re telling you that they’ll drop you. Just get it inspected?

Silly me. Thanks man.

Yeah and that is where they photograph the car, and determine if it has any modifications done to it. They were mostly concerned with lowered cars with big rims, not anything else.

Thats weird, I actually just did the sane exact thing with my new car because I have progressive with my bike lol

Ya, I was just lost with the inspection thing. Never had to get an insurance inspection before. Shouldnt take them more than 5 minutes.

guess progressive is being nice to bikers, most that I talk to who have auto and motorcycle have seen savings going to them.

they can probably give you a list of places to go for the photo inspection. i noticed geico would let me go to almost any local car wash.

I saved a very considerable amount by going under my own name for the car, plus having my bike and car under the same insurance makes it easier to pay bills

yeah, get the closest place to have it inspected from progressive.

Took it to dans auto in EA. They are 10 minutes from my place. Im guessing they get their $ from the insurance company for doing these inspections? I was expecting to have to pay something for it.
