unassumed means basically the same as (private property) they can t ticket you if they dont legally assume the road as theres (coming for a cop) and internet

Just so everyone’s clear, I’m not using the word “fag” as a slur towards homosexuals, but rather more towards the “awkward bundle to be carried” definition.

Haha, awkward bundle to be carried  I love it!

that BS.
i say…

and get a wicked sound system for your house… and turn the volume up in the hours ur allowed

Play their game…

Going by the little information you gave I’m gonna say your car falls under the Yard section of the by-law and your 21 year old vehicle is an exception under section 5(4)c. Call up or attend the municipal office show them your ownership of your 21 year old vehicle… print out the by-law and highlight the area where your car is an expection to the rule. Get a permit or get it in writting from someone authorized to.

Or at least inform them, make sure they acknowledged you informed them and get a name for the person you informed. Next time you get a call from “by-law lady” you can tell her to go fuck themselves and you have it in writing that you are permitted. If you don’t have it in writing and got a name tell to once again go fuck themselves and “your superior” so and so has been informed and go speak with their superiors.

That will piss your neighbours off even more that you are now authorized to have your vehicle sitting there while you work on it… but in the end there will be jackshit they can do about it. Just be reasonable and don’t litter your yard with junk/parts and you’ll be good.

If that doesn’t work for you PM me… there are a few other loopholes you can work.

I hate bullshit neighbours that have nothing better to do
Goodluck

Actually, Eric is a 26 unlicensed mechanic with 7 years experience of professional experience. He tries to keep his wit sharp by slowly chipping away at a project car because he got laid off, and is going back to school so he can go and do heavy truck and coach (bring some of that shit home and work on it, that’ll give em something to cry about). … Eric is me :frowning: lol.

Also, your plan is pretty much exactly what I plan to do. I called the bylaw officer all day today, with no luck. Left several messages (all of which are polite, and calm). Will post up progress tomorrow. Thank you for all the replies.

Ah ok, i missed the comma and quotations in your first post (big wall of text heh) lol… good luck with fighting the good fight man. What a shitty by-law and even shittier neighbours.

beaurocratic bs. It may (probably) will take some persistence to get through to the eight people to get things taken care. Funny how they will respond to threatening fines and a neighbours complaint(s) quicker than your inquiry to prove that you are in the clear as noted by your research. Hopefully you get somewhere sooner than later.

why dont you just plated that damn thing… and park it on a driveway…

as long as its plated they cant tow anyway no? atleast thats how it was in east of mississauga complex.

i lived off wright street in downtown richmond hill and parted out 3 or 4 240’s that were ripped apart and in pieces for months…their was a church next door and they be coming out of church and id be standing in an engine bay. It was pretty bad and i only was ever worried about the oil and coolant in the ground and having to pay for that…by-law officers came by occasionally but all they ever said was they have to be plated and i had enough platesin my garage to plat all my shitbox’s…i think the route your going now by trying to get it in writing and have proven permission is the best way

Hey, you need to start letting air out of tires, puttin road salt all over their grass, stink bomb in there exhaust vent of the house etc… I would be well vex!

Not sure which municpal office usually deals with this stuff in Barrie, In Toronto we (at least in my area) have a civic center that handles by-law. Try attending it, they are very reasonable and fairly quick to deal with most matters. I do find however attending in person gets more done than on the phone.

Hope that helps
