Classic car insurance...?

i’m paying about 100 a month now, i pay it twice a year, so 600 every 6th month…whatever…and only drive it about 10k miles a year (given that it’s in good running condition the entire year), so according to Mr beck i’d only be paying 600 for the year under the insurance plan he stated above…half of what i pay now…plus, the car will only be insured for 6 months out of the year, the other 6 months it’s only on for glass and theft coverage, so that would prob bring me down to about 450 a year…and even if the company doesnt let me take it off and put it on every year, and i have to have full coverage all the time, it’s still half of what i’m paying now…

if i happen to go over the 10k allowed miles in that 6 month period, so what…a little extra charge…it still wont be more than what i’m paying now, so i think i’m gonna do it…time to start making calls i guess

Nice my car is an 81’.

Im turning 21 so hopefully I can find a company that will give me antique for cheap.

I had Hagerarty, now I have Grundy, no mileage limits, but can only drive to car events, best part is my 02 can ride on the policy with the 70, about $500 a year for both, with agreed values for both. Not sure about the age thing since I’ll be 40 real soon.

unplug the speedo and carry a GPS… take that milage cap

^^^ thats what i was thinkin either unplug your speedo or buy a “spare” speedo how hard is it to do that? drive around for a few miles with YOUR speedo in, put in an extra one n run up the miles… when they need to do another check throw your stocker back in!!! pay one LOW price a year and w/e the price of a speedo is once n you’re set

You know, it’s people like you guys unplugging the speedos, and pulling all that shit, that makes insurance companies/their prices/limitations what they are today.

its guys like me who get to drive our cars as much as we want to

Just get a daily driver for cheap…it’s not that hard, plus you don’t HAVE to expose your car to every day driving that you may not always want…I know when my MR2 was on the road all summer and it was my only car on the road, it wasn’t always a blast (ie: traffic, summer heat, entry/exit, worrying about parking, less mileage, harder to drive than a Civic…). With my daily driver Civic and the MR on the road at the same time however, I enjoy the hell out of driving them both.

you have a dd right? it only costs like $200 more per year to add the s14 onto my current plan. no mileage restrictions but pretty basic coverage.

classic is 20 years?

hmmm…1986 Camaro…year is 2006…I won’t drive it as a daily…sweeeeeet!
