I just finished helping out my friend get his 1976 Triumph running.
Anyone know a decent place he could get insurance in the Barrie area?
Or is it just best to go to a regular insurance place? He has a clean driving record.

Silver Wheels or something like that is the policy name for classic cars.
I believe you have to be older than 25 to qualify for any type of “specialty” insurance…
I could be horribly wrong though.
theres a place called whetter oaklin insurance brokers inc. and like nightrider said theres a plan called silver wheel plan, by lant and co. insurance brokers ltd. there both for classic cars i know there are more i just cant find them right now
It depends if ur friend is going to be using it for a daily driver or just a weekend type crusing car… with the classic car insurance u can only put a limited amount of miles on your car each year, but its usually very cheap. o and i belive u do have to be 25+ to have classic car insurance
you have to have 10 continuous years of driving to get a policy with them, and the car can’t be used for daily driving… pleasure driving only
but, they do insure modified cars as well as classic cars… I think your car has to be 15 years old to qualify though
Thanks guys I’ll pass on the info
