clutch peddal wont return

ok so heres the problem, last week some time my clutch pedal wouldn’t return all the way, so i thought blown master, replaced it, tried bleeding, still got no pressure, so i thought the slave, replaced that, bleed again, no air is coming out, one bit, but the peddal wont return up, and with out being pumped wont go into gear, any suggestions?

try adjusting the pedal, theres a rod on the master cylinder that comes through the firewall, you can spin it to adjust the height. I read up on this a while back cause i have to do it myself, but i havn’t done it yet, so maybe someone else can chime in, to help.

yea well the rod sits inside the car and is held to the clutch pedal by a rod with a pin through it…then then end is crunched with two nuts i bieleve u can loosen these off and then you have quite a bit of play to adjust clutch pedal position. u may have to actually remove the clutch master if i remember but its not hard.

Keep bleeding. If it works when you pump it then there is air in the system somewhere.

When i bleed my clutch and brakes alone, i put a rubber hose on the bleeder nipple, keep the tube submerged in brake fluid while the bleeder is open (it wont let any air in as it is submerged in fluid), then just pump the pedal fast like 10 times, then close the bleeder and see if you got any pressure, repeat until happy.

did you try the bleeder on the clutch damper, i replaced a bad slave cylinder and couldnt get it to bleed so i tried bleeding the damper nipple was rusted so it broke. I bypassed the damper and it bled fine.

If you need to pump it means theres air in system, bleed, bleed and bleed, then bleed some more.

Adjust the rod, pull out the pin on the clutch pedal and unbolt the master, screw out the bolt onside the car a bit, position it and reinsert pic, push master cylinder up against wall; the clutch pedal should not be at the highest point of travel, if not then spin out the bolt some more. When all is good then bolt it back up.

X2 on removing the damper box,…will make your life alot easier. I did this on both my 240 and my Talon.

Same, that lil shitty useless box that does nothing but rust and make bleed jobs extra intensive :frowning:

Killing it makes things so much easier.
