Figured this would best go in General instead of Imports. My 1993 Nissan NX 1.6 is the issue.
For a while my clutch would stick to the floor sometimes and i thought it was just the pedal because it would only do it when fully pressed like when i’m starting the car or just holding the clutch down for a second or two. Today the clutch seemed tight…so i went home to see if the cable had rust in it…before i could get the cable off i noticed the clutch wouldn’t engage…i can start in gear but can’t shift into any gear once taken out…when i push the clutch pedal down i hear a rubbing noise…not griding like gear teeth but rubbing…clutch has like 5k-6k on it and i am not new to sticks so i really don’t get wtf is going on. Anyone have any ideas?
I’ve tried starting in gear and shifting at the trannys “clutchless” shift points and that doesn’t work either
look at your clutch master and slave cylinder. one of them is probably leaking causing a ghost pedal.
it’s a cable clutch
