coilover problem

I recently installed progress coilovers on my 05 ep3. I have been adjusting the perches all day trying to make the the front even and the rear even. But the front driver side would never go down far enough. Nothing was working so i decided to put every coilover to 10 threads and start over(front and rear). Every coilover dropped but the front driver side, which stayed at the same height, about one finger gap compared to the passenger side which was tucking bad.

During installing the front driver side coilover the cv joint fell out, but we were able to get it back in. Could this effect anything?

Is there any thing that could be blocking the car from going this low on the driver side?

Any help is great.

most likely thats not the problem but a simple solution is to lift the rest of the car to match the driver front…

yeah, i did that for now, but i am worried if there is something else wrong.

If it’s not lowering via the perch…something is definitely wrong. I would certainly not recommend driving it like that, or you risk damaging something.

Can you take a picture of the strut assembly as it sits in the car? Also what kind of coilover, and shocks?

I agree with steve. I don’t know honda’s but it sounds like maybe a top hat got flipped on that side or something.

are they adjustable spring sleeves or tru coilovers? i encountered this once on a cheapo sleeve setup and the perches settled in the strut tower crooked. Its kinda scary but i held the spring straight while i lowered the car back down on to the perch. Dont get your fingers or arms stuck

Their Progress Competition coilovers. For the ep3 they have a pretty good rep. I believe that the axel is not allowing it to go down as far as the passenger side, which i can raise it and be ok with. But i am still scared it could be something else

If it’s the axle, DO NOT drive it. Undo the 32mm axle nut, and take out the entire axle to make 100% sure the CV’s aren’t separated.

the axle should flex at the cv’s, sometimes if u drop a car to low the angle of the cv’s become to severe and they bind. Is it the long or short side?
