Compressing springs

Hey everyone, we are trying to do my friends springs on his mustang. We rented both types of compressors. I read somewhere that some shops will compress the springs for you and put straps on them so you can take them home and just cut the straps when ready. Does anyone know where we can get this done??

Any help is appreciated.

for a mustang … no need for them

They are the BBK 1.5 inch lower. how would i get them in then?

rears are gravy … just put jack stands on the lower control arm forward mounting point (torque box) … unbolt the shocks … push the axel down … they will fall out …

as for the front … again … jack stands on the K-member … take the king nut off the tie-rod ends … pop free … and the king nut off the lower control arm (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE JACK UNDER THE CONTROL ARM) … take the nut off the strut up top … and SLOWLY let the jack down …

reverse steps to put back together … takes me about 45 min. for all 4

Ya i did the back in like ten min but the front are givin me trouble. i cant compress the spring into the control arm

all ya have to do is … pry the lower arm down more … then use the jack to get it back in place
