are you smoking crack while thinking?
- bush isn’t going to have another campaign…
2.‘little parade’ - elaborate - he won by a landslide… don’t believe those BULLSHIT ‘exit polls:greddy::greddy:’ you read on CNN
are you smoking crack while thinking?
yeah i was gonna say 10 years max term
to me there is a difference…
Ames bought out Hills
Dalmer Crylser was a merger, but some still debate that.
ford bought failing jag, range & aston martin
i think there is differences in “mergers”…there are straight buyouts, merging & then i guess there is grey area where a company buys you & keeps you running like ford did.
it was a joke
exactly!!!
you think all those people comming out tell the truth? like all those union guys can come and say yeah, i voted for Bush.
i saw it…
anyway, i’m not a ‘bush supporter’ as much as i was a ‘i see right through kerry’s bullshit and the antics of the democratic party to slant the vote by making the president look like he made bad decisions during a time when the most important decision for everyperson in the united states (911) is relied on one man’s thoughts and actions. Kerry is garbage and i couldn’t imagine him running our country’
i’m not registered republican like most speculate (bravada)… i’m non-partisan beyotchs
whats your point?
Daimler bought Mercedes-Benz, who then turned around to buy Chrysler too? You see an established business thats hurting, you have a business plan and money. You buy it, and retool it, and make it work. This was an outright purchase. Chrysler was hurting badly. They had a viable American platform, the German manufacturer wanted to get in on, and basically gave them new platforms to build off from.
Ford did the same thing, with Jaguar, Aston-Martin, Land Rover/Range Rover. They also did it with failing companies too… Without ford, Mazda, wouldnt be around today, nor would Volvo.
GM is notorious for it too. Remember when SAAB bought a nice chunk of Subaru… Realized they lost their ass in that deal… So GM scooped them both up. Business is all about purchasing when its weak, finding out the least expensive way to make it profitable, and make it so.
Volkswagen did it too. They purchased Porsche, along with Audi’s purchase of Lamborghini.
Ferrari and Fiat. That stuff happens all the time. Straight out buy outs are not illegal at all. It’s smart business. I dont know what you do for a living, but you def need a couple business and economics lessons.
I didn’t say you were registered repub, I just said that the way you talk and post on here you seem slanted towards the republican party, thats all…
it’s pittspeed… you can never tell!!! me = :owned:
that what i’m saying…there are different types…straight 50-50(or close to it) mergers then there are time when You see an established business thats hurting, you have a business plan and money. You buy it, and retool it, and make it work.
there there are time when a company goes under & you buy them out…like Ames did Hills…like companies did with Bush’s companies.
A lot of Bush companies were flat out mergers my friend. Reason for mergers are due to government sanctions on competition throughout a certain area. A lot of Bush’s companies could not viable grow out into different areas due to established companies sucking up the consumer base. So a merger would only be ideal to allow both companies to operate in both territories.
Good recent example. AT&T Wireless and Cingular merger.
Two reasons for this. AT&T Wireless, was not capable of launching its GSM platform in different markets due to there already being an A-Side Carrier presence on the GSM band(Cingular). Which was causing their revenue to plunder. Easiest solution? Allow them to purchase/merge the companies so now, both carriers can operate as an A-Side Carrier on the GSM band in all markets. Since FCC restricts only 1 A-Side Carrier per each band.
michael moore, where you at now BITCH!!! you couldn’t wreck it!!!
:werd:
although just this election i’m repub… i :hate: Kerry
you can look at it that way
oh…so thats why they were horribly in debt…and where only staying afloat by his daddys friends investments.
if you cant grow… you can cave in on yourself… hate to break it to you, without investors, no companies could survive.
you know what… i know what you are saying… but i’m not going to respond.
working where i do, i know that i don’t know SHIT about mergers and aquisitions and what distinguishes them, let alone the legal abstrations that can be taken… it’s muddy muddy waters…
it only matters because once someon is in the light people look for shady or even possible shady things in a past, if it wasn’t illegal then it’s called a coverup
but i do, so ill handle em
even though I don’t handle mergers and what not I’m not that high on the food chain, nor do I think I ever will (but I can hope dammit!).
Bush did nothing illegal business wise. But, business does not always work things out ethically either.
dude…i’m not saying i’m right legally or whatever…i’m just saying to me there’s a difference.
