Can’t you just buy a big monitor or even use a tv like many do?
Serious question, is there anything apple store offers you couldn’t build yourself for fraction of price?

rofl yeah those monitors are fucking WOULD SMASH!!!
I like samsung’s tho, they look nice http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001431
No to both questions.
a difference between a tv and monitor is the resolution…
1920 x 1080 is really not high resolution when you’re using it for a pc, on a 50+ inch monitor … that would suck for pc use…
pc monitors and tv’s are different things
1: Kind of. Less quality. 27" iMac is 2560x1440
2: No.
Still doesn’t change a thing.
yeah i was hooked up to my tv thru HDMI on the highest setting for quality and even my laptop screen showed more definition. My 32" Phillips is great, but for computer use, it is sub-par to many other options
Nick just pick up a nice high res monitor. We use them at work and they are amazing. I just cant justify spending over $1k on a monitor :rofl
Here too?!??!?! :facepalm I thought only the idiocy was limited to FB.
You can use my 55in led tv. resolution is mint:popyou jerk
My wife has been rockin’ a mac book pro for work about 4 years now. I know she liked it so much because she bought a new mac book pro. I was using it too and I feel the computer is quite user friendly, and performs very well compared to a lot of other machines I’ve used. It is still a bit numb feeling at times because I’ve been rocking windows machines for decades, but the power of this machine is much better than the last laptop we purchased from HP.
yea my 27" is 1920x1080, and on the PC I have times I wish it was higher!
Ideally I think you should build PC and buy MAC monitor!
Those high resolution monitors are bank though, could not justify it for myself.
I have the exact 27" iMac you are looking at, Nick. Its night and day difference and that difference is for the better. There is no loud ass fan on the iMac, you cant hear it run. If you use it right out of the box with the Magic Mouse you only have 1 cord and thats the power cable, everything else is wireless. I opted for a wired keyboard with numeric side keypad and I bought a Focal 2.1 Multimedia Sound System from Apple because I wasnt crazy about the sound coming from the iMac.
I’ve had mine for about a year with no issues, I bought it at the Apple store in the Crossgates Mall. If you get it, you certainly won’t regret it. Like I’ve said previously, you notice the difference in build quality alone. Keyboard is aluminum as well as the iMac shell.
Macbook Pro ftw/ftl
I have a Macbook Pro and an Ipod Touch. I’ve only had the Mac for 4 months! I’ve always been a PC user. It takes alittle getting use to. It wasn’t quite so bad for me being I have an Ipod touch and often use safari and browse on it.
I don’t have any complaints. The magnetic charge cord is AWESOME! The aluminum construction is sweeet! It runs amazingly cool. Battery life is amazing. No complaints! It has never froze or crashed! Basically no virus issues with Mac’s.
MAC for the FTMFW!
Basically, you get what you pay for. I was sick of buying laptops that fell apart after two years of normal use. I’m not a computer programmer nor do I necessarily need Windows for school/work so I went with a Mac and have been extremely happy with my decision
