I know that racer240sx changed his when he did his sr swap. He’s just got it hard-wired into the ignition though. I think that if your car has AC there is some sort of sensor you can tie into.
i got an electric fan from a 87 pulsar nx, mounted it and wired the dual fans : one grounded to the engine, and the other, off the wind sheild wiper power (it gets constant power when the car is on).
works well.
Cool, But I was thinking of something that will turn on and off…
That’s a large power drain, to be on all the time.
I just need to find something that I can tap into. like the thermostat, but electrical.
you know i meant only when the ignition is on right?
and you can buy thermostat relay kits from partsource ect. $40.
I shorted out my A/C fan relay. Car has never overheated.
So you removed the Mech fan and are just running the condensor fan?
i replaced my crank fan wit a hayden electric fan when i did my swap they offered a adjustable temperature switch wit the fan the prop goes in the rad and tells the fan to turn on and off cost like 40$
