These guys have families, loved ones, friends etc. They are protecting our sorry asses from stupid ass people who don’t know left from right. If they didn’t pull people over for stupid shit, which is for principle, then everybody would be doing shit illegally. Racing on the streets, small crime shit that can end up hurting a lot of people. I didn’t say they were all hero’s. Some of them are biased, some try to be fair, either way you find that in every aspect of life. To bash someone for doing their job as the law defines is just childish. I have not once in my life read a thread with a couple people, as in two or three, that have complained about the cops with good reason. Never. Everytime they complain, they have done something wrong. Don’t blame the cops. Blame your self for acting like a fucking retard and getting emotional about something you did wrong. And remember if you want to lead, one of the first principle of leadership is to admit to you mistakes. Don’t make excuses, admit, learn, then move on.

They all do it, I have met so many cops in my life it’s ridiculous. The other night my headlight wen’t out in nisky, i got pulled over three fucking times on the way to troy. I didn’t even get a ticket from any of them, once they found out i was 36, worked on cars for a living for the past 15 years, and was a new york state inspector, they were all sugar and smiles.

The TRUTH is their primary purpose is to generate money for their respective segment at the cost of the middle class. Yea, I got no fucking love for some guy that goes around and checks cars for front plates, expired inspections, and whether or not they are not parked on the odd sides on Tuesdays and every other 3rd Friday.
This world is a cruel and shitty place. We got a shit economy, immigration issues, terrorists, health care issues, education woes, huge deficit, and currently involved in a pointless war. Whether or not Jim Bob’s front place is properly displayed does NOT rank in that list. Should the original poster been pulled over? Yep. Either by some computer scanning or the cop making a phone call. Should the original poster have his car searched? Absolutely. He was arrested.
There’s a difference between cops doin their job to ensure we are safe (people with valid licenses/no warrants/etc…) than just fucking over the middle class.
Also, the guys that save people from burning buildings, arrest murders and rapist, and work to make this world a better place deserve all the love in the world. Thank you.

wow… i really didnt mean for this to turn into what it is… but i was the first person to say the police officer i know you’re only doing your job… and i’m glad you all think these things that you “think”… but i’ve been through the due process quite some many times and i’m quite knowing of the laws which is why i pay a lawyer someone who works the law and an official of the supreme court… i dont have some retarded bogus 100dollar lawyer. You all have your ideas of whats what but i’m telling you how things go in my life… you can all sit at my house and watch them drive by my house looking for my car… i’ve gone through cars because of them pulling me over to check my license to be valid… ask Brooks… we was driving my maxima one night and because they recognized my car they pulled it over. so you tell me… all of you… driving around my house to see if my car is parked… you dont know the half of the harassment that i have had… this is my last post on this topic… i’m simply stating the laws and my experiances with it… lets get one thing forward… my gripe is not about them pulling me over for having my cross hanging from my mirror but its when they illegally searched my car and then transported me unsafely… i was not a threat to any one i didnt give any one but respect when it happened. i know police have a job and they do it by the best ways they know. and i’m sure all of you people that “love” the police have friends that are cops that get you out of all your bullshit tickets… ??? just a question… well for all of us without connections they’ll understand more than you.
dont they have to get a certain number of those tickets to ppl to meet a quota or something to generate a certain number of dollars per month or whatever time frame? i think this is why they give out the bullshit tickets.
i dont think its just to bother kids in suped up cars or whatever. its just were easier targets and are more likely to have expired this or that or have some sort of small illegal piece of crap on the car that will warrant them those bullshit tickets.
my example is from last year. i was coming back home in february after getting my chip done. i got passed by a saab goin about 120, and i was going 71-72 in a 65. my dad was in the car as my witness. the cop turned around from the opposing side of the highway and tried to chase down the saab, but the suburban is a fuckn cow and couldnt move out of its own way so he got right behind me and stopped me for having tint. he seemed real mad, but he held it back, because its just a bullshit tint ticket. its a 15 dollar ticket(at least at the time). idk if he reported the speeding car or not, but im the one that was on the shoulder with lights flashing behind me. my dad was furious at the trooper because it was stupid pretty much. i told him to just sit there and dont make it worse, cuz i could tell the cop was ready to blow up cuz he had to settle for a shit ticket for tint. for a second i was wondering why was i the BIG threat on his highway going 72 vs the saab wagon moving at 100+, but then i realized that theres no way that suburban behemoth woulda been able to catch the already a dot in the distance saab, so he just got me. for a split second i thought to downshift into 3rd and pass the saab, but then it hit me. hes got nothing serious on me, i didnt even think of tint and all my paperwork was in order. the one thing that did make me mad was that he kept trying to pin more on me and the only thing he managed to do is this: he looked at my registration. that expired end of february. my new one was at home in the envelope, it got there the day before and i just didnt put it in the car yet. mind you this is like in the teens of the month, so the one in my glovebox and on my windshield is 100% valid for like 2-3 more weeks, right? i explain to him that i got the new one in the mail last night, its sitting at home in the envelope and ill put it in the car when its about 1-2 days till expiration of the current one. heres his comment “i could give you a ticket for the registration, but i wont”. i almost exploded in laughter, i really should have but i didnt. id love to see how somebody could give me a ticket for documentation thats current and is still legal at the time of the ticket. i just took back my license, registration and the tint ticket and went home laughing. i still have a copy of it sittin here at my desk. i kept it because you know how they write a deposition on the 2nd page now? well, he asked me if i knew that tint is illegal and i just said “yup, i know” and he wrote that in. i thought that was humorous. btw, no way am i taking the tint off. im used to it now, the car lights at night and the sun doesnt blind me anymore and its not as stressfull to my corneas. also, aesthetically its eye pleasing to look at the car, so the tint stays. im also wondering, when he put the small measuring device on my window it said 25% when my tint is 35% on the sides. is that additional 10% my factory tint thats infused IN the glass or are they calibrated so that you get a tint ticket no matter what u have? the trooper also mentioned my rear windows but when i told him that i know its legal to have the rear tinted as long as my side view mirrors are in working order(taken directly from the words of a trooper at barracks G across from sienna) he just looked at me and handed me the paperwork.
Well tim then that just sucks.
