What was the problem? Last I heard you were just speculating the problem and the car was sent to the dealership. I haven’t seen anything about the confirmed cause. (send me link if my retarded ass missed it)
It’s a confirmed rod knock, most likely due to a spun bearing. When my car was there getting the turbo replaced, they said how I had almost no oil in the crankcase, not even a drop on the dipstick. My guess is time caught up with it.
they are contemplating not covering it under warranty?

When did this happen? I thought it was just a bad turbo? Is this another incident? If there is no oil in the crank case, they are most likely going to fuck you 
There was no oil in the crankcase after the turbo oil return line split and spewed it everywhere back in January. That’s when the turbo went. This is a whole new ball of wax.

Well, if there was oil in your case and the engine spun a bearing, they should be replacing it assuming you have warranty.
is the LGT a flat 6?

They should cover it. They covered the turbo due to the oil line leak and this problem is almost directly related as it caused a lack of oil pressure to the rest of the engine especially main and rod bearings.
LGTs are 2.5L boxer 4… pretty sure

The crankcase was to the fill line on the dipstick when the motor went. I provided copies of receipts of all oil purchases w/ filters and new crush washers for the drain plug.
You should be ok then, Subaru is notoriously good for warranty shit right?

its still in going around in my head why a 05 is going bad already. motor was made in 04-early 05, so 4 years old and spun bearing?
