COVID-19/20/21/22 Discussion (NOW COVID-23?)

Double post because humanity does not value ownership. Rent everything.

I’m tired of it, I’m over it. We can’t allow this bullshit to happen over something that has less of a mortality rate than a car accident

As of yesterday omicron already accounting for 72% of US covid cases. NHL hitting the pause button on their season.

It sure would be great if they told people how many tests actually get sent out for the required genetic sequencing.

I also heard somewhere that the test requirements had to be changed because the omnacaroni is genetically different enough that the old test would not catch it.

Possibly about the number of proteins found in a positive went from 4 or 5 to 2 or 3.

I’ll have to try and find it.

I’m honestly just hoping to test positive at this point to avoid spending my whole Christmas vacation running around WNY visiting family.

Alright… Well finally back to work yesterday.
Wife and son tested positive on the 7th after they both started feeling sick and due to his daycare having a positive case that came up the only damn day he went in for that week. It ended up getting my mother sick as well since she watched my son the day after he went to daycare. They became sick before me.
Went to MedLab for a test the 8th to see if I had covid before going back to work. Tested with 0 symptoms but came back positive that night. (PCR Test) I started getting symptoms through the day, ended up getting what seemed to be a mild cold (Barely stuffy nose). I did end up losing my smell for about 4-5 days towards the end. I did get tired/winded pretty quick and felt like I didn’t have the strength I needed to do some things.

We ended up seeing my wifes father who was in town from Arizona. Huge right wing person who wont get vaccinated or cares much about hearing covid talk, but also a cancer person currently. He got sick, ended up in the hospital with pneumonia but from what it sounds like right now, he’s getting better.
My mother ended up using steroids to break up her cold and to get everything out. I still feel a little weak but nothing major. Taste never went away, smell never went away. Got to spend a 10 days with my son which was both nice and as well stressful. He’s a very happy kid but at times found a new scream that was pretty intense when he was not happy. lol.

Whatever strain of covid we got, it seems to be passing around SUPER easy, but honest, the cold part of this was far less than other colds I’ve had. The weak part was the most of it.

Just took my at home test, I’m negative.

At least I got a day off of work, now I only have….29 days of PTO left for the year.

lol @ your instant test meaning anything. I walked in with every covid symptom and full on covid and got a negative result from the instant test. Both my PCR’s came back positive a day later.

Talking with one of my favorite coworkers today. She’s had the VID and refuses the jab, which is why she’s one of my favorites. Her sister in laws best friend just passed away. Died with (not from) COVID…and she was jabbed. Bet she’s glad she was protected.

what’d she die from with covid?

She didn’t get too much into the medical details but was not a “thin” girl.

CDC director was on the news yesterday. She says we have 1 Omicron death in the US. Of course she didn’t say with or from.

Lex had the Pfizer CEO on his podcast, pretty incredible how far Lex has made it, he’s so intelligent and well spoken.

That being said, I think the CEO isn’t inherently a bad person, but you can tell he’s a money maker. This vaccine was a money maker for him, nothing more. That’s why he’s company is so successful.

It annoys me that they can’t inform the public if someone was overweight that died, has some underlying health issues, etc. I’m not talking about reporting the persons name and exactly who died, but a simple indication of maybe obesity or asthma or some other know factor.

Talked with a friend over the weekend who said that their wife’s aunt passed away from Covid. He also indicated that she was not the most healthy person and was overweight.

The public IS informed though. It’s just that we choose to ignore it.

Fat people know they are fat. But society allows them to be fat and not feel bad.

I hate that society has normalized obesity. We care about people getting sick with covid because it could pass to people who aren’t able to fight it as well if they contract it… but we don’t want to take that thought and tell people who are heavier to lose weight to help their chances of fighting covid. Or maybe eat healthier to help fight covid. lol
The government doesn’t want to make fast food and other unhealthy items harder to get your hands on.
Smoking cigarettes is still not a problem throughout most of the US and super cheap to get your hands on packs in other states.

Smoking is not cheap, I’m not sure what your definition of super cheap is, but I think it costs like $0.26 to make a pack and the rest is mostly taxes.

In almost every other country in the world a pack of cigs is dirt cheap. 20 packs of cigs in China is like $3 lol.

Also fun fact that they don’t seem to be pushing. Fat cells get specifically targeted by Covid, which then helps it replicate.

If you take vitamins/eat well and are in decent shape, Covid should be cake walk for you. People are lazy though, so it won’t happen.

I’m talking about places like PA when saying cheap for Cigarettes. NY is a different story. Really it should be on a federal level now though for taxation or even just the push for phasing it out by changing the age every year to a higher age, which I know one country is not going that route.

So funny the photo you used.
