So one of the guys in our office who wears a mask everywhere he goes and talks about trying to not get covid and is fully vaccinated and boosted just tested positive for covid. All but about 5 people of our company (Just shy of 100) are vaccinated. This person is literally the type that will make a mountain out of a mole hill and will uptalk his case of Covid like no one else had to deal with it before as bad as him. I’m sure we will all hear about it in our office when he returns. (I really don’t doubt he will be fine)
I got cv about 2.5 weeks ago, started with extreme exhaustion, progressed into a 5 day headache and sore throat that kinda felt like bronchitis. I had an odd symptom where for about 4-5 days the skin on my upper body was painful to the touch, nothing crazy but similar to having your skin touched when you have a bad sunburn. I simply stayed hydrated, took ibuprofen 800 for my throat and I’m already on vitamin supplements. Everything subsided after about 10-11 days.
I had the skin thing the first time I had it last spring. Was mostly just my back and chest.
I read it was a rare symptom. Mine was most of my upper body. It made it uncomfortable to have a shirt on.
My wife and I both tested negative for rona two weeks ago (rapid and PCR), but haven’t been able to get rid of this persistent snot and cough. Just a minor but my wife has it worse off. At this point, were going to assume we have/had covid. Mucinex and vitamins. Her doctor even said it was probably covid but said it would be a waste to get an antibody test because it doesn’t change treatment: water, mucinex, tylenol and vitamins. She said if this all persists for another week or so, check in with our doctors.

Man I stand with my Canadian brotherin. When I worked up in Northern Alberta, bunch of good tough SOB’s up there.
“Hey guys, pack up the trucks, get a few cases of Blue and we’re going to Ottawa.”
OMG. Rip. Nice almost meeting you.
this is getting even wilder…CDN truckers blocking US/Can border at Montana / Alberta. SWAT gave ultimatum… truckers vote to stay.
i’m tingly.
NEW - Meta-analysis by Hopkins University concludes that “lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, while they have imposed enormous economic and social costs.”
Lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy.
Furthermore, “studies looking at specific NPIs (lockdown vs. no lockdown, facemasks, closing non-essential businesses, border closures, school closures, and limiting gatherings) also find no broad-based evidence of noticeable effects on COVID-19 mortality.”
Roads in Ottawa still closed, A50 into downtown looks like a standstill.
This was on Fox today.
@bing says he’s in Ottawa. Need on the street updates!
It’s amazing, until today I’ve been following more on social media to see what’s going on and it’s got to the point where it’s hit or miss on what’s actually going on currently down there. Are trucks still there and if so how many/how much are they taking up of the city?
