crankshaft sprocket tool

Anyone have a crankshaft sprocket installation tool I can borrow? If not I guess I’ll smack it on with a piece of pipe.

just smack it,

yeah Jeff, go smack your crankshaft! :kekegay:

The sprocket should go on okay, but what about the balancer hub? That’s a pretty tight fit. Don’t want to beat on the crank too much.

I think I’m going to buy some Grade B7 7/16"-20 all thread that I can thread all the way into the crank and use a graded nut/washer to press it on. I’ll just make my own tool! And maybe heat up the hub a little too.

Some people just use the OE bolt to press it on and end up stripping the crank threads because there’s not much thread engagement at the start.

better lube it first

dont heat it,just use a rubber or wooden malit to tap them on!!tap the hub on just enuff the get the crank bolt started 4 or 5 threads!

make sure u have the keyway in the crank!

Been there, done that…
